Frontline crawls through the sewer to smear a patriotic whistle blower with irrelevant details of Bradley Manning's personal life. I lost all respect for Frontline after they aired this piece. Instead of focusing on the illegal and immoral activity of the U.S. government that Manning exposed, Frontline focuses it considerable journalistic power into an ad hominem attack on a young soldier. The Manning piece was presented -- without shame or irony -- on the same episode as a piece lauding the civil disobedience of Chinese artist Ai Weiwei. Frontline needs a brisk hypocrisy check. I hope they fully paid back whatever favors they owed by airing this hit-piece, because Frontline's integrity is irrevocably compromised. Shame on anyone who had anything to do with stitching together this high-tech lynching.
