This is a fake trailer for "The Big Lebowski 2", a movie that obviously has never been made. This 2.5-minute short film is from 4 years ago and was written and directed by Chris Farah. I guess he is mostly to blame here as his co-writer Sean Boyle has proved with "Between Two Ferns" that he actually does have talent in terms of comedy writing. This little film here was never funny, it's style over substance being mostly a parody of scenes from "The Big Lebowski". I am not even a huge fan of that Coen movie, so I would somehow be offended by this one here. I am just annoyed by how terribly uninteresting and unfunny this is. Tara Reid's career was pretty much over by 2011 already, even id this was made before she hit rock bottom with the craptastic Sharknado movies. All in all, not a memorable watch at all. Not recommended and easily among Funnyordie's biggest failures.

Two OK jokes repeated throughout makes for a disappointing and quite unfunny short

I've been watching a couple of the Funny or Die spoof sequels recently and while some of them really work, some are quite basic and this one falls into the latter camp. The film's jokes is that they have remade the original film but have done it with Tara Reid doing all the roles in the same story again. The first time you see Reid aping a shot from the film it is quite amusing, but after you've seen it a couple of times it stops being funny and afterwards you're left with only the feeling that the original was really good and that it probably deserves a better spoof than this one.

The joke about sequels here is that they do rather rerun the original films and again that joke was funny when it was first made ("nope, drawing a blank") but by the third time it doesn't have much left to it. Sadly these two jokes are all the short film has and it doesn't really work. Reid is a good sport for trying it, but without sharp material she is just left doing bad impressions in a series of funny costumes. A shame because the original film is held in such high esteem that it deserved a smarter and more affectionate spoof, but this is all they got.

Two jokes, both of which are OK the first time, but not when repeated throughout the short. Disappointing.
