The writer, director and cinematographer Dyanna Taylor was the grand daughter of famed photographer Dorothea Lange, who had been a close personal friend of Everett Ruess. All of the equipment, including the HDTV recorder (which weighted 80 lbs (and didn't have playback) had to be back packed into very remote locations, one of which was where 11 people had perished in a flash flood shortly before this production took place.
