Crater Love

Warning: Spoilers
"Crater Face" is an odd (yet heartwarming) tale of love and friendship from Skyler Page, the creator of the Cartoon Network's show "Clarence".

Personally, I liked a lot the animation style from this short, which has very expressive designs and a neat use of colors, fitting effectively well the tone of the story, which in less than five minutes is able to combine perfectly well cartoonish wackiness with a certain sentimental vein, resulting in a more than enjoyable watch.

The ending is surprisingly emotional and bittersweet. Definitely worth- watching.

Sacrifice

If there's love in the universe then this gives an example of its depths. It's about faces in a planetary crater. Tremendous effort is expended to get two creatures together and ultimately a loss of life. It is a tender little tale.

Great story of wingman sacrifice.

Warning: Spoilers
I love this so much. It's so incredibly powerful. You want to talk about sacrifice? This astronaut gave up his life to unite two moon- craters so far removed from his reality that empathy seems unlikely to even be in the picture. I think the fact that they're so alien just adds to the meaningfulness of the astronaut's sacrifice. If this man can, without thinking, lay down his life for the happiness of something so foreign and inexplicable, then why can't we as humans get along enough to even stop killing each other? It makes you think about your own faults and shortcomings in a way that's even more humbling than the Christian Easter story. Hell, there's not even any dialogue, just some airy yet haunting music to accompany. Thanks, Skyler, for a clip that I find far more compelling than a time-tested story of suffering and sacrifice, independent of any sort of truth. Amazing.
