Religious Fanaticism

Warning: Spoilers
Travis locks Dexter in the basement and escapes from the church, after discussing with Professor Gellar that accuses the delusional Travis of killing him. Debra calls Dexter and tells that they are tracking the IP of Gellar's Blog and he realizes that they are close to the church. Travis is angry with Dexter and calls him false prophet and tells that he will fix his mistake in the Blog. Dexter tries to locate Holly Madison believing that she might be the mistake referred by Travis. Debra investigates the death of Jessica Morris and she discovers that Matthews sent flower for her on the day she dies. She connects the dots and concludes that her chief was with the call girl. Travis recruits the fanatics Steve and Beth to join his cause. Meanwhile Angel investigates the couple and Quinn has a hangover and does not answer his call. Travis captures Angel and sends Beth with poison gas to the Miami Metro to kill Debra and her team. Dexter finds Holly died and he stabs Steve believing that he would be Travis.

In "Ricochet Rabbit", Travis meets two religious fanatics that worship Gellar and he manipulates the couple. There is a great loss with the truth about Gellar since Colin Hanks has an idiotic face that does not convince as a serial-killer. Dexter is reckless with Harris' Code. Debra is an efficient detective indeed, easily disclosing the identity of Jessica's client. Will Quinn become a good cop again after his fault? My vote is eight.

Warning: Spoilers
This episode begins with Dexter, he just discovered that Travis is the only Doomsday Killer and that Gellar is frozen and dead in the basement. Travis still sees Gellar as an illusion. Travis stabbed Gellar with a sword three years ago. Travis ubducted Holly Benson on a boat. Travis cuts with a knife trough Holly's troath, she died afterwards. Debra found out that Matthews is involved in Jessica Morris her dead. Dexter found Travis his boat. Dexter stabbed down Steve instead of Travis. Travis smashed down Angel. Dexter found Holly her body. Travis made a wormwood bomb, what is he gonna do. Dexter called the police to tip them about Travis. Nice episode of Dexter Season 6, Dexter chose to inform the police about Travis. He isn't gonna take the kill!

S6.E10 - Fanatics [8.8/10]

Warning: Spoilers
(S6. E10) My Reaction / Review for Dexter Season 6 Episode 10 ''Ricochet Rabbit'': Episode 9 was good and I gave it a rating of 8.7/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Travis killed Gellar and Dex got trapped, that sucks. Travis thinks Gellar is alive? He is nuts. I have to admit that Travis sucks as a villain in my opinion. So now Travis has the help of two fanatics. Wow Dexter destroyed Luis with words. I think that his game sounds fantastic. So Travis' plan is to use a bomb to kill people? Let's see. Damn, Dexter stabbed the wrong guy, that sucks. Oh boy he hit Angel? Dex calls the police? I didn't expect that. Overall a really good episode, my rating is 8.8/10.

Disappointing
LgmK5 December 2011
Warning: Spoilers
OK, so this episode seemed rushed and forced. Dumb dialogue, which is usually one of Dexter's strong points, once again no suspense whatsoever. The Matthews case is really not interesting anymore, so he didn't kill her, then what's really left? He'll try to stop Debra from looking into it? Boring. The psychiatrist also doesn't look like she's going towards unveiling Dexter's secret, and Mike Anderson is still only a secondary character. And the thing about wormwood having to be placed in Miami Metro also looked forced. Good things about this episode? Dexter admitting that this is beyond his powers and calling 911. Also finally seeing crazy ass Travis. And Louis. Does he know that Dexter's a serial killer? Maybe he was that disappointed cause he expected Dex to react in another way to his game? We'll see. Now, concerning Travis, the big bad, he's gonna try to get wormwood into Miami Metro. Maybe some characters are gonna be killed off. And Dexter's probably gonna end up killing Travis. Well, a shame to see a promising Season 6 go down like this. Unless something big is waiting for us this Season, with the exception of Brother Sam/Nick and some other stuff was predictable and disappointing...

Get some air

Warning: Spoilers
1. Police finds the abandoned church 2. A couple gets converted 3. Angel is attacked

I know that Dexter hasn't always been completely realistic. But today is where I kind of lost it. There is no way that he could check the security footage that fast there is just no way. And it's sometimes hard to understand extra motivation. He supposed to kill people he got away with what they have done if he helps the police catch them, they'll most likely never see the light of day. So the question becomes does dexter just want to kill does he care more about justice? Why does it go such great lines to risk everything to kill these villains? And that's just sometimes a little interesting. We've seen Dexter push much harder in the past. Risk much more, and there really isn't a lot on the line for this right now. And I guess that's what made the show exciting. The thrill. I guess I'm just having Dexter fatigue.

Plot hole???
darrenbrittle6 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
In this episode geller is dead and has always been. In the previous episode they watched him enter the building when they were waiting for him!

Did I miss something or am I correct?

Plot hole or just me?

The story is get quite long winded at this point of the series. Dragging it out comes to mind.

I still enjoy some of the characters but quin seems to be playing bit parts, as do many others. Scene filing for the most part with little story lines being dropped in between the main story of the series. This episode seems to be the worst for it. I'm just using my character requirements at this point in order post a review.

Once again...it's all about Dexter's ego, not justice
skay_baltimore8 April 2014
Warning: Spoilers
This series has revealed itself for what it's really been about all along: a poorly written show about a schizophrenic psychopathic serial killer who kills innocents, wreaks havoc so he can do things the way HE wants to do things regardless of the consequences, and, who has forfeited any sympathy that might otherwise have possibly been afforded to him.

Similarly -- and a much bigger problem with this series -- there are simply no worthy protagonists for whom to cheer, with the possible exception of Debra.

Dexter absolutely deserves to die. (And I don't care HOW many apologist fan boys or girls generate endless reasons why he shouldn't die. They're as deluded as he is.)

Harry is a philandering, weak manipulator. (And his ongoing hallucinated presence in the show became a major annoyance and distraction.)

LaGuerta is undeserving.

Batista is somewhat likable but not in any significant sense.

Rita was loathsome.

Lumen was a sympathetic character but she's gone.

Quinn is despicable.

Masuka is funny at times but not enough to build a show around.

And the list goes on and on and on. Unfortunately.
