Exemplary Survivor episode
gridoon20248 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is how - in a perfect world - all Survivor episodes should be a) played & b) edited: with a) multiple plans going on at the same time, and b) an even spread of focus among all the players so that they all look equally important; the result is that, going to tribal, 4 out of the 6 players seem to be in danger of going home (and 1 of the other 2 has immunity). The actual vote-off is a massive blindside and without a doubt the biggest "winner fakeout" of the season; the recent Australian "Blood vs. Water" did something similar, but the big difference is that the departure here leaves a wide open playing field, while in BvW there was another backup strong favorite (who ended up winning). This is definitely one of the most unorthodox Final Fives in the history of Survivor. 8.5/10.

Then There Were Five?!

Warning: Spoilers
Well it seems that both Lindsay and Jonathan are both are in the going to be down to the final two or three. Both are strong competitors and well liked though my mom not a fan of Lindsay's.

Still though glad they choose chocolate there. As it needed to have a sugar rush there and have not eaten in a month something sweet.

Tribal council really was a huge shock there. Right person left there IMHO!

QUEEN MARYANNE!

Warning: Spoilers
This was her game winning move and I am over the moon! She chose the perfect time to let her extra vote be known while still being able to keep her idol a secret, so she's still guaranteed a spot in the final 4. Maryanne has been my favourite since day 1, and now it's looking like she'll win. The only player that could have a chance to beat her is Lindsay, but it's a slim chance.

How scripted can you get?

So Lindsay has two immunity idols, the necklace she won at the immunity challenge, and the hidden one that was to expire during this episode's tribal. There is no reason why she shouldn't have given it to Omar! She said she was afraid it'd go back into play? So what? That would give her maybe another chance to find an idol. So instead, her ally, her plan and everything else went down in flames. I'm sure the producers (Jeff) wanted to keep certain people, and lose others. Omar didn't even complain in his parting statement. Just dumb. Rigged!
