If industry trade statistics are to be believed, for every single good film that is made, there are 10 other bad ones that release week after week. For anyone familiar with the Razzies concept of Hollywood, the ‘Ghanta Awards’ (‘ghanta’ being the slang for ‘rubbish’) is its desi version to celebrate and recognize the worst that Bollywood offers in terms of films, actors, technicians among some other categories.
In its second year, the awards function was held over the weekend to a packed house. Those who could not attend had the option of watching its online live stream (something that none of the bigger awards have been able to achieve yet). While invites were sent out to all the nominees, Sonam Kapoor was the lone celeb attendee, went sportingly on the stage to collect her award confessing “Thank you so much! I finally won an award!”.

Film: 'Hum Tum Shabana'; Cast: Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Minissha Lamba, Satish Kaushik, and introducing Pia Trivedi; Director: Sagar Ballary; Rating: * 1/2 - a bad attempt by Sagar Ballary.
Coming from a comic guru like Sagar Ballary, who has given comedies like 'Bheja Fry' and 'Bheja Fry 2', 'Hum Tum Shabana' is a total let down. Unlike his previous films, this has various scenes from different comedy films strung together to look like a comic masterpiece.
Rishi Malhotra (Tushar Kapoor) and Kartik Iyer (Shreyas Talpade) are executives at loggerheads in an event management company.

Mumbai: Good friends, Sagar Bellary and Minissha Lamba have turned foes these days. The actress has worked with the director, Sagar Bellary in ‘Bheja Fry 2’ and is currently working with him again in her next movie, ‘Hum Tum Shabana’.
Apparently the director has been bad mouthing Minissha and accusing her of shooting for the promo of ‘Bheja Fry 2’ behind his back. He has even threatened to cut of her scenes from their next movie ‘Hum Tum Shabana’, in which Minissha plays the lead role.
The shocked actress retaliated by stating that the director’s outburst is because he is.

All is now well between Minissha Lamba and her director Sagar Ballary. The man whom they would be looking at thanking most? Tusshar Kapoor. Though there have been a series of verbal bouts between Minissha and Sagar post the release of Bheja Fry 2 and during the current promotional campaign of Hum Tum Shabana, it can well be expected to be a thing of the past since Tusshar has facilitated a patch up between the two. "Recently Tusshar organised a small get together at his apartment for a private screening of a couple of songs of Hum Tum Shabana which were just wrapped up. Obviously other than Tusshar's close associates and friends, Minissha and Sagar were also invited and though they had some real serious differences with each other, they didn't want to say no to Tusshar", informs a source. Though the screening went off peacefully and Tusshar was quite pleased with the final results,...

Shocked and hurt, Minissha feels it is Ballary's attempt to publicise his films.
'I used to consider Ballary a friend. But if by maligning me he is trying to get publicity, then he's hardly a friend,' she says.
Minissha also feels this is Ballary's way of getting even with his 'Bheja Fry 2' producer Mukul Deora,.

Bheja Fry 3, for those who are interested, is delayed until that time when director Sagar Ballary cracks a screenplay worthy of that fascinating bore Bharat Bhushan's return trip. In September, Ballary starts another film. Entitled Guftagoo, this is a chamber piece with only 6 characters. Sagar has signed his old favourite Vinay Pathak and Pathak's best friend Ranvir Shorey for two of the roles. But the most important part of the film is to be played by a 30-plus leading lady whom Ballary has already sounded out for the part. Says Ballary, "I wouldn't like to mention her name yet until she has signed the film. But it'd be a dream-come-true to work with her. Luckily for me she likes my work, has seen Bheja Fry 2 and called me to congratulate me after seeing it." Sagar wants to cast this iconic actress and his old favourite Rajat Kapoor as man and wife in Gufatgoo.

Director Sagar Ballary says that the censor board was scandalised over a scene in which lead actor Vinay Pathak plays a love guru and gives instructions in his just released "Bheja Fry 2" and that he was forced to chop it off.And the reason was not prudery but pragmatic considerations. In that particular scene, Vinay tells a love-making couple that they are doing "it" all wrong and then he goes on to explain how to go about it.
