Warner Brothers--the W in the CW--just finished their merger with Discovery+ and it seems to be cleaning house. I think this show might be collateral damage with this culling. I think the writers realize this too. That's why we're getting so much fan service, closing out long course storylines (seriously, who remembered Landon's moms?), and bringing memorable TVD/TO characters in to answer stan questions made over the years.
Julie Plec probably just going to roll the dice on Vampire Academy instead. Either way. Anything to get away from The Endgame and Morena Baccarin with her terrible terrible eastern European accent...Oh yeah, back on topic.
The way they're closing out the storylines, I don't expect this season to end on a cliff-hanger. 4 seasons for Hope to become the tri-brid, Landon dies and can't find peace, Hope and Landon have a meet in the underworld.....where can this story go from there? There's no higher stakes.
And then they defeat the gods....
