Mild spoilers for the previous episodes.

The Serpentine beginning looking for the Fang Blades. Jay reaches his full potential. Sensei visits an old friend. Nya's secret is revealed. Jay finally finds the courage to ask Nya on a date.

In the eighth episode of Ninjago, Masters of Spinjitzu, we learn another valuable lesson about life – whatever your secret is, it's important to be yourself. It's a wonderful lesson that is well shown throughout the episode, and I think it does well in teaching younger viewers that.

I think that's what keeps drawing me to this series. The lessons that are taught are done so well, and are enjoyable to learn from. There's plenty that can be learned but the main lesson is shown throughout the episode and it's obviously there throughout, with the big reveal at the end of the episode.

This episode itself was really sweet. There was so much in this that honestly made me smile, and at one point I definitely squealed. Although parts of the episode were rushed, there was still enough in this to make it a strong episode of the series, and to definitely bring more out of the ninjas.

Again, as with episode seven, considering that the Serpentine are going about their plans, it might have been a bit more beneficial that more of their work is shown on screen, as I personally kept forgetting they were actually the main evil. There was a lot going on, and sometimes, little pointers are much more easily remembered than just a main two minutes each episode.

Overall, this was a good, heart warming episode, and I'm excited to get on and watch more of the show.
