- The final three teams travel from Colombo, Sri Lanka to Perth, Western Australia. In Singapore, a tightrope walk 55 storeys high puts some of the teams' nerves to the test at the Detour, before they seek their riches from a local fortune teller. At their final destination city, they search some cells in Fremantle Prison for a clue before struggling to remember their journey's highlights at the Road Block. The first team to reach the finish line wins the A$250,000 prize.—Allister Coots
- Having escaped a penalty in the previous leg thanks to a strong performance at the Road Block helping them vault from last to first, models Sam & Renae are the first of the final three teams to depart from the Pit Stop. At 7:32am, they open up their clue and find out that they have to fly to Singapore, where they must make their way to the Goh Chor Tua Pek Kong Chinese Temple and break open a pile of durians there. When the teams break open a durian that has a red coloured centre, a temple performer will hand them their next clue. The other two finallists, surfers Tyler & Nathan and father and son Jeff & Luke, make the same flight for Singapore as Sam & Renae. After the flight lands at 10:15pm, the three teams stay neck and neck and neck all the way to the temple.
All three teams start to smash durians, but it is Tyler & Nathan who are the first to break open one with a red centre. They receive the next clue and have reached a Detour with the choice of Dare or Stair. For both tasks, teams have to make their way to one of Singapore's iconic buildings, the Marina Bay Sands Resort. Teams choosing Dare have to separately traverse a tightrope 250 metres above ground from Tower 1 to Tower 2 and back to Tower 1. The second team member will receive a clue when they make it to Tower 2, and have to take the clue back with them to Tower 1 before the team can open it. Teams choosing Stair have to use the stairs to climb up all 56 floors of Tower 1, collect a Singaporean souvenir, take it back with them down Tower 1 to its lobby and then up the 56 levels of Tower 2, where they can exchange it for their next clue.
Tyler & Nathan initially choose Stair and set off for the Marina Bay Sands Resort as Jeff & Luke find a red-centred durian. The father and son also choose Stair when they receive the Detour clue, but when Tyler & Nathan arrive at the resort and see how tall the building is, they decide to switch tasks and do Dare. Sam & Renae finally find a durian with red in the middle and set off for the Marina Bay Sands Resort, deciding to try Dare. They arrive as Tyler & Nathan complete the task and open up their next clue which tells them to make their way to the Hong San See Taoist Temple, where they will receive a five minute palm reading before they get their next clue.
Tyler & Nathan maintain their lead when they receive a very promising palm reading, as Sam & Renae make their way along the tightrope. The surfers get their next clue and have to make their way to the Jurong Chinese Gardens and find a statue of Confucius, who will point them to their next clue. Sam & Renae complete the tightrope walk and head off to the Hong San See Temple for their palm reading, which isn't quite as promising with respect to the race as the one given to Tyler & Nathan. Jeff & Luke take their Singaporean souvenir to the top of Tower 2 and set off for their palm reading as Sam & Renae head towards the Jurong Chinese Gardens.
Tyler & Nathan find the cluebox in the gardens, and their next clue directs them to another local icon, the Singapore Flyer. There, the teams have to search among the 28 compartments of the ferris wheel for one of three compartments containing their next clue. All of the compartments have a Race envelope inside them, but 25 of the envelopes will have the message "Sorry, try again", which will require any team that finds one of them to ride for an entire 21 minute rotation of the Flyer before they can leave that compartment and find another one to try. A board beside the Flyer will allow teams to keep track of which compartments have been searched. Tyler & Nathan choose a compartment, but it's not one of the ones with the clue. Sam & Renae find the clue in the Jurong Chinese Gardens and leave not long before Jeff & Luke arrive. The father and son soon find the clue and both of the trailling teams catch up to Tyler & Nathan at the Singapore Flyer.
After a couple more unsuccessful attempts, Tyler & Nathan find one of the compartments with the next clue, and learn that they must fly to their final destination city, Perth, Western Australia. Once there, they have to drive themselves to the war memorial at Kings Park and search for their next clue. They leave for the airport, and Jeff & Luke are the next team to find a compartment with the clue. Tyler & Nathan and Jeff & Luke take the final seats on a 9am flight from Singapore that arrives in Perth at 2:05pm. Sam & Renae find the final clue compartment, and when they arrive at the airport, the earliest flight available to them arrives in their home town of Perth at 2:40pm, 35 minutes behind the other two teams.
The first flight lands at Perth Airport and Tyler & Nathan and Jeff & Luke find the marked vehicles, but they both lose some time when they take wrong turns out of the airport, with Jeff & Luke's mistake allowing Tyler & Nathan to re-take the lead. The surfers arrive at the war memorial in Kings Park, and the next clue directs them to drive themselves to Fremantle Prison, where they have to use a set of twelve keys that will be handed to them to search more than 100 cells across three floors for the one cell that has a box containing their next clue. Each time they find an empty cell, they have to ensure that they lock its door before they can try another cell. They arrive at the prison as Jeff & Luke find the clue at the Kings Park war memorial, but after they open their first cell and find it empty, they have problems with locking the door. The second flight with Sam & Renae lands and they find their vehicle and drive towards Kings Park. Jeff & Luke fall even further behind Tyler & Nathan when they get lost again en route to Fremantle Prison, and start to get frustrated.
Tyler & Nathan find two more empty cells, but the fourth cell door that they open is the one with the cluebox. They open up the clue and have to drive themselves to Cape Peron and search there for their next clue. Jeff & Luke arrive at the prison, but Sam & Renae's local knowledge allows them to gain some time and arrive at the prison not long after Jeff & Luke. The frustration for the father and son grows when Sam & Renae are next to find the cell with the cluebox, but Jeff & Luke eventually find that cell as well. All three teams are now making their way towards Cape Peron. Tyler & Nathan arrive there, find the cluebox, open up the clue and find a Road Block. In this Road Block, one person from each team has to search a pile of flags for twelve that represent the countries that they visited on the race. There are two flags for Australia because the race both started and finished there. Once they find the correct flags and place them in the right order, a geography professor will hand them their next clue. With the three teams each being 6-5 in terms of Road Blocks performed, and no person able to perform more than 6 Road Blocks for the entire race, Nathan, Sam and Luke have to perform this task.
The other two teams catch up, and once again they are neck and neck and neck, all still in with a chance of winning A$250,000 but all struggling with the flags. Adding to their challenge is that there are some "dummy" flags among the pile, including some that represent countries that they didn't visit, and others that don't represent a country at all. Suddenly things click for Nathan and he comes up with the right combination of Indonesia, Vietnam, China, South Africa, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Poland, Israel, Sri Lanka and Singapore as the ten flags to place between the two for Australia. He shows the flags he has placed to the geography professor, and receives the next clue from him. He and Tyler open up the clue and find that they have to drive themselves to the final Pit Stop on Heirisson Island, located in the middle of the Swan River.
As Tyler & Nathan struggle through the Perth traffic, knowing that every time they stop gives another team a potential opportunity to pass them, Sam completes the Road Block, and she and Renae are now on their way to the finish, but Tyler & Nathan have made it to The Causeway, the road that takes them to Heirisson Island. They park their car and soon see the finish mat, the eight teams to be eliminated along the way - brother and sister Ryot & Liberty, workmates Anne-Marie & Tracy, married entrepeneurs Richard & Joey, Muslim friends Mo & Mos, sisters Alana & Mel, dating couple Anastasia & Chris, married bikers Dave & Kelly and farmers Matt & Tom - and host Grant Bowler, who tells them that after 50,000 kilometres, 23 cities, 11 countries and 4 continents, they are the first official winners of The Amazing Race Australia and the A$250,000 prize.
The sun sets before Sam & Renae arrive at the island and are checked in by Grant as the second team. A little later, Jeff & Luke arrive at the mat and are checked in as the third team. All of the teams then join in a celebration of Tyler & Nathan's victory.
