So no reviews about being PC and woke. I agree that sometimes this great series tries to tell a tale about social injustices but this one is pure action.

Maybe they are actually listening to their fans because this season is the best of the series so far: action, romance, friendship, family, and plenty of heart-racing moments. And a bit less politics without ignoring the important topics that are relevant today.

Every cop show has one at some point. Same with "strangers on a train" they all do one.
But with plane hostage episodes you never top Flashpoint. They where and still are the best. Even the training scene of the swat movie was better.
And another day of Chris being over dramatic and yelling at her boss for no reason. So done with that character.

What is the point of a door code to prevent hi-jackers from entering the cockpit if they can just threaten the flight attendant to let them in. Also why smuggle a plastic gun onboard if you can bring metal bullets anyway. This episode was beyond fantasy. Action packed but still unreal.

again, street telling her he is still in love... come on.. just be done with that.. it has been how many seasons now? 3.. 4?
Plane hijack ok.... nothing too spectacular... new random girl as love interest but we know how that will play out... chris will get in the middle of it because it was alright when the guy was chasing her but when that stops, ooops, that cannot happen, and bye bye flight attendant guest star.

If memory serves this is probably the first episode of S. W. A. T that is based solely on one location and didn't feature them driving around as T. V. detectives and field agents do in other crime dramas.
I've come to realize that S. W. A. T. isn't based on real S. W. A. T. and makes no attempt to replicate that. You'll never see an episode that you could say hey I saw that in X Police Department S. W. A. T. training video on Youtube.
CBS S. W. A. T. is a fantasy based on futuristic weapons and gear. The training and the actual rescue scene were bland.
