A terrific start, loved it.

Jackson tried to rescue an elderly woman from her crashed car, which has landed on a train track, in attempting to save her, he suffers severe injuries. On hand, an administering Angel.

Absolutely fantastic, talk about an attention grabber, the penultimate episode of the first series, and perhaps the most accomplished episode to date. The story takes a little time to unfold, but when it does, it's a captivating watch.

I found it easy to follow, lots going on, but there's nothing overly complicated.

Absolutely loved the character of Reggie, there are some super talented people here, Tom Goodman Hill, Patterson Joseph, and many others, but young Gwyneth Keyworth stands out from them all, I thought she was tremendous in this, and does a fine Scottish accent. Always nice to see Sheila Reid.

9/10.

Did Not read the books but absolutely loved the PBS shows

The cast is excellent. I always liked Jason Issacs but I absolutely was moved by "Reggie". Character was played by Gwnyeth Keyworth who fitted the role to a T. She was smart, spunky, resourceful and yet so vulnerable. Her acting was remarkable. She was a delight to watch and I'd love to see more of her in the future.I was moved by her acting.

BTW, anyone know if that was her natural accent or if she was from Scotland? If not, she did a great job & I understood every word she said as opposed to the head detective's blond son with eyeglasses. Watching all 3 shows, I didn't understand one word he said!

Since I'm not familiar with the series (books), I'm guessing that the head detective and he have a history together or she would like one?
