So, it looks like one of the show's most ridiculous story lines is finally coming to a climax.Angelo's sudden, uncontested presence in Nicole's life does feel a bit awkward and it shows just how inexplicable Nicole's decision to give George to Marilyn was that she provides two different explanations in the same episode, neither of which really rings true. It's a nice plot twist that the catalyst for all this is the arrival of Penn's grandfather.Continuity issues aside (wasn't Penn Graham an alias?), Douglas Graham is nicely characterised and his support of Nicole is pleasing. It's nice too to get a reference to what Will's up to.But the final scene, which apparently wants us to feel sympathy for Marilyn yet still accept Nicole's doing the right thing, is awkward in the extreme.
The double act between Laura and Roo-two good friends who have difficulty getting along-is also enjoyable and Laura's burgeoning romance with Elijah and Roo's strong friendship with Sid also both pass the time well.
