"Désenchantée" is a song by Canadian singer Mylène Farmer from the early 1990s and this one has its 25th anniversary this year already. Farmer around the age of 30 when this one was made. She is an artist who is known for her music videos being more cinematic than music videos usually are and this one here is no exception. There is a fairly dark tone to what we see for sure, but there is also hope in here and the ending feels uplifting. I won't go into detail about the story though as you really want to watch it yourself. And be it only for the song, which I really love. Such a catchy number and it's Farmer's career defining work for me personally and also the one that got me really curious about her. It's impossible not to get in the groove here. There is a 4.5-minute version of this one and one that runs twice as long, which is still fairly short for Farmer's standards compared to some of her other works. I watched and recommend the latter. You really wanna see (and hear) it. Excellent cinematography and music in here. Also check out the making-of while you're at it.
