Totally unexpected
filmscribe200030 August 2011
Is this a gay movie or not? There's no fluff. No coming out crap... it's hard hitting- take no prisoners kinda film. I'm shock that someone finally had the guts to write a story about the normality of being gay and part of humanity. The underlying stories of the characters have substance. It's unheard of in today's gay flicks which are sophomoric. I'm amazed that each character is defined so well and have a story of their own to tell. Although the lead character who plays the dual character (Jon and Michael Grey) is somewhat bland and seems to have a problem with the word "This". He doesn't seem to be up for the part and at times not even interesting. It doesn't matter whether he's straight or gay... an actor is an actor and perhaps he needs more training. I really liked Ebony Perry(Georgie) and Michael Perrenoud (Chad). They clicked! The others belong in shorts... never the big time!

Who the hell is this director?

I heard that it was different but damn and I've got to tell that it's not what I expected. No naked bodies and no sex but it still managed to hold my attention. I was waiting for more. I wanted more. It can't end like this...This director was definitely not going for the normal "gay" attributes. It's not about body or sex. It's about "real" substance. A gay guy portrayed as a professional with real issues. I don't want to give the ending away but you'll never expect it. I kept thinking; "What now?" I walked unsatisfied and wanting more. There has to be a sequel even if it's with a different lead who sounded weird in certain scenes. The story is solid and the dialogue is on the mark. I can't wait to what comes up next.

Is there more?
leahshatner31 August 2011
I don't know if this matters but my boy and I moved out to California about six months ago and I've always love indie films so it's obvious that I've been hitting the indie circuit and I found this gem. The title and friends drew me to attend the screening and found it to be totally innovative. I never expect it to be what it was. It's something that I'd let my boy watch if he was older and if the language was less rough. My brother was a prosecutor and gay so I guess that it brought back memories of his dedication to the law. It was like "Twin Peaks" meets "Wolf Lake" and "True Blood" without the vampires.

I wanted to see more but unfortunately it ended with too may questions.

Roller-coaster Ride

Too much for a short. It was evident that there were underlying situations to each character and scene. It made me think too much because as soon as I thought I knew what was going to happen, it didn't. It seems like this short film was intentionally made to wet our whistles and it did for me but at the same time you can't leave us hanging. I found a connection with most of the characters. The Chad and Georgie character were hilarious and caring at the same time. I agree with the previous review. The ending can't possibly be the ending and if it is then I'll re-rate it a 2. I would have rated it a 10 if there would have been more. I'm going to see it again to see if I can figure out what is really going on.

Human Journey?
lesliemont334 September 2011
Me and a couple of friends went to an earlier screening today. I agree with some of the previous comments but for the most part I think that the actors and everyone else did a really good job. I thought that Alexander Jon was really handsome and gave me chills every time that he'd look into the camera. It seems that I knew these people in some way. Each character resembled someone that I knew or know now. I was expecting to see beefcake and beautiful bodied men but it wasn't the case and we didn't care because the story kept us waiting to see what would happen next.

All we talked about after the film was; What happens now? I agree that there has to be more and I will be greatly disappointed if this ends like this. My congrats to all on this human journey. And please, don't end it here.

Ready for Primetime?
tiffanie-alba331 August 2011
I agree with some of the previous reviewer's comments and although I think that it's better than what I've ever seen on Logo so far, I was disappointed in some of the actors. The "Michael" actor who leads the cast should have been at least 10 years older to be believable in that role. He had his moments but not enough to keep me interested in him. The director and producers should have seen that.

We left thinking that each character had an episode or two waiting in the wings although the ending was unexpected. This is not a short film, it's more of a television pilot because there's obviously a lot more to tell.
