the movie could have been groundbreaking!

Argh...😭 The Man for the Job could have been THAT groundbreaking tech movie in Nollywood cinema!!

It really hurts that production wasn't delivered in a meticulous way

DELICIOUS

-Let's just admire Ini Edo (playing Joseph's wife) for a while; she has never looked this gorgeous! The hair and make-up teams executed a fine look on her 😍

-Temi Otedola was much more comfortable in front of the camera this time than in 'Citation'

-The costume design team provided us with a good understanding of each character's personality, e.g. Zina's techie t-shirts were fun to see as they emphasized her love for IT, and Tega's suits & turtlenecks displayed his conservative and serious demeanor

BLAND

---We were truly cheering for this movie to blow us away with a powerful screenplay, buuuuuut the scene sequences were quite incoherent missing some logic with an editing work that fell short.

Unless we missed it, why did Joseph call himself Barnabas? What was the purpose of Joseph's car running into an accident? The dialogues weren't solid enough to give a deeper knowledge of the characters' lifestyles, Mr. Lai & his motives, etc.

-Sound engineering, sound effects, color grading, photography, visual effects, and score weren't polished to the point that they obstructed the movie's flow

-There was no dynamic chemistry among the actors 😖 (except for Ini and Noza Rex).

E.g. Uzor and Ini couldn't relate to their children, plus Uzor and Ibrahim Suleiman had no camaraderie together despite being best friends

-The Man for the Job didn't really send an overt lesson on the tech world or the way to do business.

We saw a company in distress and the hasty investigation to track down the hacker, then that was it.
