Okay show.

Warning: Spoilers
Eureka is okay, but the characters talk way too fast. Eureka is a good show to encourage children to be creative. But, there's a few problems. The characters talk way too fast. While this may not be a problem for older children, the kids at the show's age range won't be able to understand what the characters are saying if they talk way too fast. For example, if Eureka gets excited, she talks way too fast and the audience does not understand or follow along to what she's saying. And some of the names are not very creative. Bog, Clod, Ohm? That does not make at sense at all. If you add a new character to the show, try to come up with a better name for them, not make the name short or uncreative. At least Disney Junior tried to do a good job. I think this show deserves 5 stars, because of the positive messages and making creative inventions.

Eureka is a below average children's program. This is not for lack of trying, but rather the product of trying too hard.

My daughter was initially excited by the promotional material used to advertise Eureka. I didn't have high hopes. Disney Jr. Throws a lot at the wall. Often times it sticks. There is just something about the catch phrases and overall dialogue of "Eureka" that felt off.

Once we happened upon an episode my daughter exclaimed "EEKA!" So we watched. The first thing I noticed was the speed at which every character speaks. They talk too fast. While this may not be problematic for older children, I don't think the intended audience can follow along.

The characters are one dimensional. The color palette is limited. The animation is not appealing. I don't think this show will last very long. Today when "Eureka" came on my daughter said "I don't ike it." She told me she wanted to watch "doc" and that was that.

Perfect Show To Learn More About S.T.E.A.M. And Problem Solving
rannynm7 July 2022
Eureka! Coming your way is a new animated, music-filled series full of life lessons, adventures, and "thinkering!" Eureka! Is the perfect show for kids to learn more about the world of S. T. E. A. M. And problem solving. This show has a diverse cast of characters, endless entertainment, and relatability, and is perfect for the whole family to watch.

Eureka! Follows a fearless, young girl inventor named Eureka (Ruth Righi) who lives in Rocky Falls with her parents and pet Mammoth, Murphy (Fred Tatasciore). Eureka is always designing new inventions and contraptions in her prehistoric community to help make it more modern. From finding a way to get Murphy into the house when he couldn't use the door to creating a one-person band of instruments, whenever she "thinkers" she is sure to solve whatever issue she comes across.

Eureka as the lead character is the perfect role model for younger girls. It's amazing to see a young female like Eureka showing other kids that they aren't too young to be in the world of S. T. E. A. M. I love the support Eureka gets from her family, friends, teachers and the rest of her community. It really encourages her to be confident even when she doesn't always fit in. One of my favorite scenes is when Eureka and her mom Roxy (Renée Elise Goldsberry) are singing about the Rubber Tree Soup, and she shows that her mom doesn't give up when the soup doesn't come out the way she expects it to. While this series is set in a prehistoric time period, viewers will love watching Eureka modernize her community. An example is when Eureka redirects underground steam to create an oven for her mom's restaurant. It gives the show a unique twist that will draw viewers to it.

There are multiple messages throughout the series, like never giving up on your goals, and that even when you fail it's important to try again. Eureka also teaches young viewers about responsibility by taking care of her pet Mammoth, Murphy. Overall Eureka! Teaches kids all about the world of S. T. E. A. M., being fearless when solving problems, and creating inventions even as kids.

I give Eureka! 5 out of 5 stars. This is definitely a kid-focused, family-friendly series, so I recommend it for kids 2 to 8. Eureka! Debuts on Disney Junior June 22, 2022, and on Disney+ the same day. By Tiana S., KIDS FIRST!

It's The Flintstones Meets Doc McStuffins, And That's Why It's Good
blytheandferb-1096716 August 2022
Eureka is a show that can best be described as The Flintstones Meets Doc McStuffins, and it's really good. It's like mixing a lighthearted version of the original Flintstones (a stone age sitcom) with the educational aspects of Doc McStuffins (which isn't surprising since both shows have some of the same people). You find all the characters really fun to watch, and there's a sense of freedom with the stone age setting. The humor is sharp and the songs are a banger. We get overarching messages about critical thinking and making the world a better place to compliment the smaller, but still well written messages. I recommend this one.

Immersive, integrative, and inclusive!
timbj30 August 2022
Watch as this inclusive culture's children immerse themselves in science, technology, engineering, art, and math and integrate their ideas in their daily life! The socio-emotional development illustrated is appropriate and spot on for the kids characters and audience viewers alike! Music and singing reminds me of Lion King when I was little and watching it with my parents. The way the parents give the kids autonomy and agency is truly inspiring! I definitely recommend watching this with kids and identifying how these storylines apply to real life scenarios. I hope to see more shows like Eureka, especially on Disney Plus.
