Why copy Netflix?? Make it your own!
neilwork14 August 2022
The whole Astro voice copying Netflix's Too Hot To Handle is bizarre...why would you want to make it a similar format rather than believe in your format and find 2 great hosts to deliver the Astro messages. Rubbish on the whole just because of that.

Love it's potential
Cynd91330 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Sorry, this may contain spoilers.

I do follow astrology for fun and feel most people do behave like their given signs in the heavenly charts so I love the idea and potential for this show! I also totally agree that dating nowadays is not so easy.. a little push in the right direction always helps! I didn't like how immature and overly dramatic some of the cast members were although I get they were all probably under 30ish so I suppose drama follows? Realistically everyone probably signs a contract understanding what they're getting into so some of the theatrics in the show we're probably more for a positive ratings boost.

I also felt that the immediate rush factor of having to get married after only a few weeks of a couple getting to know one another is not very realistic. I feel this first season truly was an experiment and that the producers can observe the pros and cons to make a better season 2 with new cast members.

Tries to be "new," but ultimately fails
ymousnona12318 September 2022
I watch a lot of reality TV. I know it's trash TV, but there are certain shows that I think do it very well. Love Island franchise, The Bachelor franchise, 90 Day Fiance, Too Hot To Handle, Ex on the Beach, Love is Blind, etc. I have watched it all.

This one doesn't meet the level of entertainment, production, or even format of those shows.

First of all, there is no proper host. Some "orb" talks to them, and to me it seems to mimic the voice from THTH. Why? I think it may have been better to have an actual host.

Secondly, I am a little confused about the format. There are 4 people chosen to represent the 4 elements. If they're the main people, then how come there's not enough effort from the rest of the cast to get to know them? I was initially under the impression that the 4 elements would be more in charge like in the Bachelor. Either make all the contestants equals in choosing like in Love Island or Love is Blind, or clearly lay out the format for eliminations.

The eliminations don't really take place until later on. You also can't connect with any contestants because you see so less of them. There are too many in the house. The show ends up being a bit chaotic near the middle of the season, but not in a good drama kind of way. It just makes the formatting kind of useless and ineffective.

Third, I know these shows are mostly scripted and not really as "real" as they claim to be. However, the conversations are sooooo awkward and mostly cringe. This is an issue with the editing process. I don't really care for any of the people I see. I think there's also some issue with casting because certain elements garnered more interest than others. The last three episodes get a little better, but it's too late by then. I learned a bit more about the elements and those they chose at the end, but it still doesn't save the show for me.

Of all the reality TV shows I have watched, this one is least entertaining. I don't feel inclined to be invested in many of the contestants.

Narrator's fake fake voice is cringy
dreamdancinannie16 August 2022
I would love to watch this, being an avid astrologer, but I just can't handle the narrator's fake, affected voice. She must think she comes off sexy. She does not. Yuk.

Terrible Astrology and Arrangement
misslolasynastry13 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Honest review: Advanced astrologer and Gen Z here. Saw the previews of this show and figured the concept is long overdue, so I was eager to see how this turned out. (Wrote this review after watching almost all episodes. I truthfully didn't watch the last episode. The contestants were over it by episode 6 anyway)

Series starts off with introductions of 4 primary 'contestants' whose Sun signs happen to be each Earth, Water, Fire, Air. And the supposed Astrologer (who narrates but sadly never shows themselves), pools in an additional 16 strangers who are each secretly a "match" with one of the 4 main contestants. So technically each primary contestant has 4 matxhes or something like that. All 20 people are in "1 big house", and the primary 4 have to figure out their favorite match.

Main Con: The Narrator's voice is like nails on a chalkboard and it sounds like shes giving a movie preview, its SUPER cheesy. I wish narration was more practical and comedic rather than a "mystical". If youre not going to go full on sensual Bachelor theme, just take the fun comedy route especially since alot of people have little understanding of astrology as it is. It wouldve been better if the 'Astrologer/Narrator' was on-screen as a coach, sorta like the set up of Married at First Sight. A spiritual host and professional astrologer on-screen in plain clothes, to coach each contestant wouldve brought more realism. I also think they shouldve saved the astrology 'fun facts' for reading sessions, instead of narrating them on screen randomly. It was very distracting/cringeworthy on episode one and two. Please hire 2 on-screen professionals, NOT a cheesy "crystal ball".

Other Con: In the first episode, they jumped right into one on one dates, while i was still trying to study the group. I feel they should have began with totally isolated group dates of 10 and 5 people in the first few episodes, then began eliminating persons on Episode 3. This wouldve reduced cliques and friendzones from happening. Keeping all 20 people together most of the season, caused wandering eyes which tainted the entire series. By episode 5 I was bored, and so seemed the contestants.

Astrology Portion: Those who dont know anything about astrology wouldnt have learned a thing. From an astrology nerd point of view, I noticed matches are solely based on aspects and ignores moon to moon, mercury to mercury, venus to venus, mars to mars basic elemental compatibility. Aspects (rising to moon ....or ....moon to sun) are typically SECONDARY, to basic planet-planet compatibility. When you rely solely on aspects to match couples, it results in feeling an emotional connection with one person and great conversation with another person. Whereas planet to planet compatibility can guarantee the ability to relate in emotions, communication, activities, sex, across the board WITH the added spice of aspects. Both are important when matching partners. Throwing 20 people together and expecting them to connect solely on aspects was very ambitious and naive.

I give this show 2 stars, because the first few episodes were an icky start due to the narration and for the terrible setup ruining the entire season. Newbies to astrology wouldnt have learned anything about synastry. This show needs a total re-do. It was a laughing stock of all other dating shows ive ever seen.

Not my fave dating reality show
bellegs17 August 2022
This really was not my favorite dating show. I feel like a lot of it was scripted & would have preferred it to be more in-depth on the astrological side. Just not my jam.

Loved this show! A must Watch!
javiermcintosh14 August 2022
I literally love this show! This is the first show I have binge watched in years. I watched all the episodes within 24 hours and it was so worth it. I really identified with Javier. I see how he tried so hard to make things work with Maria. I feel like I would have done something similar in that situation. I hope he finds love in a spin off show in the future so I can watch more. The rest of the cast was amazing as well. It seemed like a very emotional situation.

I love that it was captured so beautifully. The dresses at the end and the cool dates added to the amazing production of the show.

Interesting Dating Show
africanrose22 August 2022
I enjoy the show and how they are trying to help others find matches based on more than looks and sensual passions. I don't like how the matches weren't always being honest during the show which hinders the signs making a great match.

This series is a must see and binge worthy! Even those viewers who don't believe in astrology can't deny that the Astro Chamber delivers gems! The storytelling is in depth and you walk away feeling like you know each contestant.
