Lets be honest.
Not every show has to be an Emmy winner. A show can just be comfortable and fun without being great.
I missed HOD first run but a friend recommended it so I collected the seasons and binge-watched.
Generally OK and engaging until I got to this episode and suddenly WOW one of the tightest script I have seen in any show anywhere.
The conniving mother in law, the pirate theme, the romance, all done to a T -- with a great payoff.
Recommended. Hope this is a sign of what is to come.
