"I promise to love you lots and lots"
Wedding episodes can be difficult to do.This one is done well. There's no unnecessary drama and no schmaltz:There's a lot of humour rising out of the situation, from Marilyn fumbling over her vows to the nice device of most of the episode consisting of point of view shots from a camcorder filming the wedding. The running gag of not seeing Marilyn in her wedding dress is rather fun and everyone acts pretty much exactly as they would if they were being filmed, from Don and Alf pushing Shannon out of the bedroom during the preparations to Pippa asking her to turn the camera off a moment while she makes up a speech.Oddly, there are no subplots but the episode doesn't really need any, especially when most of the cast are present and they all get a chance to shine.
