This interesting short film can be found on the "Gandhi" DVD and on YouTube as well. A historical relic, this is the very first film to capture both image and sound of one of the greatest leaders who ever lived, and in the words of a acquaintance of his, he was a little frightened to appear before camera due to his fragile appearance (at the time in one of his many hunger strikes against England's policies in India) and his low voice. Pure nonsense, cause the great Mahatma Gandhi had plenty of wisdom to share in a very little time - although he's not totally wrong about the way he sounds if we have to compare with the voice of his interviewer.
Gandhi, always optimistic, is asked about his action towards England if they don't accept his demands for the country's independence, and also if that would be granted he would abolish children marriages, and there's a small controversial about what he would wear (Europe costumes and Hindu costumes) in case if he had to attend an European Conference. Great job by Fox Movietone News, who presented the man's ideals to the world. It would take 16 years from this film until his dream come truth with a free India. 10/10
