Carter & June, the action comedy from the producer of ‘Napoleon Dynamite’ hits theaters and digital platforms on May 18th. Check out the new trailer:
Freestyle Digital Media, the recently-acquired Digital Film Distribution division of Byron Allen’s Entertainment Studios, has acquired the domestic rights to Carter And June, an action/comedy heist film directed by Nicholas Kalikow (Concrete Blondes). The film was produced by Sean C. Covel (Napoleon Dynamite), Diane Richey and Kyle Roper, with Rob Warren Thomas, Matt Post and Kalikow writing the screenplay. Carter And June stars Michael Raymond-James, Samaire Armstrong and Timothy Omundson, while The Doors guitarist Robby Krieger composed original songs for the soundtrack. The film will be available in theaters and on digital platforms on May 18th, 2018.
The deal was negotiated by Dan Fisher, VP of Acquisitions of Freestyle, and by Jack Campbell, President of Octane Entertainment on behalf of the filmmakers.

Jane Espenson has announced the new project she has been working on with Alessandra Torresani, Brad Bell (Cheeks) and Sean Hemeon, in an interview with CliqueClack. Yes, it's Husbands, a web series about "two guys, a newly dating couple, who celebrate a new marriage equality law in Vegas and wake up married." A couple of snippets from the interview:
Km: What do you hope to become of Husbands in the long run? If it simply stays as a free series on the web, will that satisfy not only you but the actors?
