Please protect me from Mr. Blade
lor_2 April 2018
Unfortunately for me, I will be watching dozens more of Barrett Blade's directed features, thanks to his contract with Bree Mills to crank out endless Oilers for her websites. This earlier effort for Wicked Pictures is poorly cast and executed.

First big mistake (besides hiring BB) was placing Briana Blair (another BB) in the lead role of a lady whose best pal Kortney Kane keeps peskily trying to give her suggestions on dating and her love life. The subsequent rom-com and near dramedy situations in the uncredited script are listlessly directed by Blade, with little interest generated in either the wooden leading lady or her minimal story.

Only bright moments are provided by India Summer, tossed into the mix as a New Age type who leading man Kris Slater asks to design an engagement ring for him, so that he can pop the question to Blair. Both he and Blair are unfaithful to each other before the very cornball ending, and arbitrary sex scenes are tossed in willy-nilly to fulfill the Wicked requirements.

Maya Devine, uncredited, is brought into the picture in NonSex role as a sort of deus ex machina sorting out awkwardly some dangling plot threads. Also uncredited is Eric Masterson, in a cameo as the official who marries the couple. He was on set already, serving as production assistant.
