Michigan Hip Hop is Dead - Death of an indie label
Death of an indie label is quite possibly the best documentary about hip hop in 2011, dealing with many issues , including the creation and destruction of one of Detroit hip hops most successful record labels , illness in family including schizophrenia in rap , working with sick relatives and how hip hop is a dead end street for indie recording artists. Death of an indie label shows a lot of Eshams personal home movies , including his first ever tape signing , and kid rock opening up for Esham back in the 80s. Esham speaks to rock of ages record store about his works , shows us Deadboy in a different way and shows the end of Michigan's preeminent record label. If your a fan of Eminem , insane clown posse , kid rock or a resident of Michigan this is a must see documentary .
