Disappointed
preeyadolan11 April 2023
I thoroughly enjoyed this programme, and got the reasoning behind it, but if I had produced this, I would have stated the winning prize was to be shared by all, but there would be a twist at the end, which would have been , all who spent and were tempted with other's money, would have the amount deducted from their share, and the ones not tempted, would have walked with the full £25,000, plus the amount spent, divided by them.

It was heart reneging to see the ones not tempted, to walk away with just slightly more than the ones tempted, and that for me was disappointing, bad viewing and I was left pulling my hair out at the end. X.

Distasteful.

Warning: Spoilers
This is one of those programmes where you wonder why people can't see how much they're revealing about who they are.

It's simply about spending from the pot now..instant gratification or delayed gratification.

Except the gratification isn't at your at your own expense.

It's at the groups.

It's actually a horrible watch but one of those where it's intriguing as to who believe they're entitled to 'now' and who is prepared to wait. And the ingenuity of some excuses for what is simple selfishness.

(And as an older person myself...I'm actually appalled by one persons actions.) It's interesting but humans at their best and worst.

Entertaining
daveditch-532915 April 2023
The progress of this is pretty predictable. Pit one person's values and ambitions against another or at least 12 of them.and the inevitable clashes emerge. Watching the consequences start emerging the entertainment starts big time. That's underpinned and driven by the personalities. We have. James practising being miserable and single minded , Carolyne making up meaningless philosophical sayings to support the moment as she wishes and somewhere in betwen Lani behaving like a spoilt child "I want a pastry" . It's also quite amusing how they see minor climbs and relatively short treks as exhausting and overwhelming but again the consequences of them realising they haven't just signed up for a walk around the block kicks of the entertainment.

Could have been a better twist
richardhillier10 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Towards the end they could have flipped the whole show on its head and gave us an extremely gripping final. Where the two people who got to the end after taking none of the temptations gets to decide weather they want to take all of the winnings or split it with the team. What an ending that would have been! You would have got to see the faces of all the people who gave in to temptation realise that all of their choices cost them everything. And what's worse is it would have had James lumped in with the rest because of that tea bag. Causing them much stress weather or not he will get anything for that one mistake. Shame. It was a very enjoyable show. That falls on its face at the end. Me and my partner both looked at each other and went..."oh....is that it...they all walk away with money....and the ones who suffered the most got maybe 2-3k more....boring".

Very Disappointing..
attalokat11 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
While the programme tried to lure people into temptations it failed to show the difference or any motivations for people not to take the temptations and blow it all. There was hardly any differences in the prizes between people who took temptations and the ones that didn't... a serious kick in the teeth for the ones that stayed true to the games objectives (at least in the most part)...

They should have deducted the full money for the people that tools the temptations... if they wanted the experience then they should have paid for them.. they next series they'll all be taking the temptations.

Left a distasteful taste in the mouth for the 2 that did not spend anything... !!!

Absolutely Terrible
jordan01120 April 2023
The entire problem with this show is that the reward differential for those that had resisted temptation and those that didn't was not great enough. That ruined the whole show.

I actually enjoyed this show at first but the ending was absolutely terrible and the message of the show by the end was absolutely terrible because of how the show was made and the rules it has.

It DEFINITELY needed a final twist and didn't have one, making it one of the most morally bankrupt shows I've ever seen. It should have had a twist where at the end the ones that gave in to temptation were told that actually that money came out of their own funds.

The vilest and most disgusting aspects of human behaviour like theft, no impulse control, lies, rationalisations carried out by the lowest and most reprehensible types of people are actually justified by the show which rewards sociopathic, anti-social and dysfunctional behaviour.

The worst in humanity
zmvghyq30 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This could have been a very interesting tv show. It had everything to actually demonstrate to the public that if you take temptations there will be consequences. But no.

Ohh no it rewarded the "hard working" people the same way as everyone else. And it reflects what happens in society. People mess with other peoples life with no consequences. And guess what, the more vile and horrible person you are the more "followers" you'll have.

This reflects very well what's is wrong in the world. But people don't know how to filter the info they get from this show. It's giving the wrong image to the new generation. That is ok to steal and abuse as long is everyone's future involved and not only your own.

Rename the title to "How to get away being selfish".

At lest it shows some people still have morals.

Let's hope any future employers see this.

Disappointing and Morally Bankrupt Viewing
pjliddell13 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This show encapsulates all of the worst traits in humanity and rewards them. The idea is simple: Work as a team and resist temptations along the way for a reward at the end. The catch? You get rewarded even if you fail.

We started watching this, positive that the few people who were resisting temptation would get the reward, or at least a larger chunk, at the end. That is not what happened. Those who failed got as big a reward as those who made it to the end without giving into temptation.

This show is absolutely VILE!!! It sends a very bad message out to viewers: *If you are tempted by something, always give in.

*Self-control is equal to self-indulgence.

*Lie *Steal from others *Being selfish is a good thing *Teamwork and others are less important than your personal desires.

*Willpower is irrelevant, giving into to urges at any cost is rewardable *There is no consequence for bad behavior *Ethics and good values are not necessary

This show has a very bad moral to it, rewarding bad behavior and being indifferent to having good values. There were some genuinely rotten people as the contestants on this show: selfish, spoiled rotten entitled brats. They were rewarded for that behavior. There was even an old woman there, who used peer pressure to try to encourage others to "cross over to the dark side" and give into temptations. I could easily see her peddling drugs, telling her victims "go ahead, take this pill. It's a strength to do drugs". This same group of people who constantly took the temptations, and who got rewarded for exhibiting horrible behavior were cheering and laughing at the reality that they failed, and were spending everybody else's money. What lesson does that teach?

There is a 0% chance I will ever watch this again.

Unfairness to the strongestwilled
sandyross-9047424 June 2023
Lani was just horrible giving in to mostly all temptations and still walking away with 19,000 and Michelle ugghhh so irritating. James,Tahira and the one with the braids were the strongest and should have left with the full 25,000. Very unfair I will never watch this show again. Very frustrating to see .Why wasn't there a twist at the end like giving the strongest ones a trip for 2 to Africa for avoiding temptations. The 3 strongest deserved a better prize. 2000 to 3000 that is all that separated the strongest from the weakest. This show was very poorly made,it should have been thought through more. Shame on the producer.

Rewarding selfishness
escuderojoann24 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I went into the first episode excited. Some characters immediately become annoying and over the first few episodes many characters crumble. It's frustrating to see the selfish people enjoy so many rewards without consequences. It's selfish to use money that comes from a shared pool -- that's equivalent to taking money from others because they think they "need" or "deserve" it more.

I was hoping for a plot twist where resisting temptation resulted in the full 25k to those that resisted, and then having those that caved split the amount they still have.

Missed opportunity at rewarding people that have the decency to not take from others or act impulsively out of selfishness

She didn't even drink her entire hot chocolate smh, disgusting.
