Jimmy, I have to go.

Warning: Spoilers
This was a shocking but entertain episode, although it wasn't one of my favorites.

I like the way this episode starts, with Jimmy and Angela in their Princeton days, and I like all the flashbacks too. But I have to say that episode makes me hate Gillian, more than the previous ones. But I like Jimmy's past and the beginning of his soldier life even though I feel a lot of pity for him.

I really going to miss Angela, although she wasn't one of the strongest characters, and I like the way Richard deals with his mourning, he really cared about her and I feel quite sad for him too.

I don't have a problem with Margaret, but in this episode turned so annoying, but I can understand everything she's going through.

I enjoyed the little moments of Luciano, Lansky, Capone y Mickey together, and the Nelson ones too. I like that we knew something about his past.

+ The things going to get nasty for Nucky, Nelson and Eli.

+ Jimmy's past and flashbacks.

+ Angela's goodbye.

+ The Commodore is finally gone.

+ Richard protecting and care about Jimmy and Angela.

+ I'm glad we finally see what's going on between Gillian and Jimmy

  • Gillian is quite hateful.

  • Margaret turned to be so annoying.

To The Lost

Warning: Spoilers
BOARDWALK EMPIRE was a great show for five full seasons, but personally I feel the show lost something it never recovered when Jimmy Darmody met his downfall at the end of season two.

This episode is really an "origins" story that explains in a series of gripping flashbacks the secret guilt that causes Jimmy to disintegrate in the present day story line. We fade in on Jimmy's wife Angela, and that's a shocker because the previous episode (the outstanding "Georgia Peaches") showed the sexy, dark-eyed Italian beauty meet with an unexpected accident while showering with a female friend.

But little by little, we realize that this Angela is not the neglected wife and mother of 1921 but the fresh-faced waitress of 1917, dating a dashing young Princeton man named . . . Jimmy Darmody. And with a flourish of glamour and excitement that comes right out of F. Scott Fitzgerald, we're off to an evening of college romance, college intrigue, and some very dark Oedipal drama.

Jimmy Darmody is such a great character, a dreamer and a killer, a lost child and a vengeful hero, a tragic loner and a loyal son. Michael Pitt gave energized, rock and roll power to every scene, (not surprising since he began his career playing rock legend Kurt Cobain in Gus Van Sant's cult classic LAST DAYS) thereby making BOARDWALK EMPIRE into a glittering supernova of excitement. But ultimately his light was dimmed. And after this episode, you will understand why his downfall was inevitable long before he became a hero in no man's land.

To the lost!

Warning: Spoilers
This whole series has had incredible writing so far, this felt like a season-ending episode but there is still an episode 12 somehow waiting for me. We were foreshadowed of this Gillian and Jimmy relationship since the beginning but seeing them end up in bed was still surreal somehow. Their relationship is wicked and the dynamics are ridiculous. I am in awe (if i hadn't made that clear already)

I disagree with the other reviewer saying "-" because Margaret is dislike-able here. I also liked her a lot in the beginning, and I also agree that she is dislike-able.

However I also see that the writers intended for us to dislike Margaret considering she has been stealing (as was hinted that she could do right as she moved in to the big house), despite seeming to be strongly against it. Then we realise that she was stealing from her family in ireland too... Then she cheats... Then she wants to throw everyone under the bus because she dislikes her own actions and wants to repent (at the cost of the people around her), justifying it by saying that he murdered her husband (who was abusing her).

Some people may resonate with Margaret and agree, but those people are not the target audience in this series at all lol.

Point is Margaret is supposed to be disliked and while it is not always funny, any show needs a villain at all times and Margaret is apparently creeping onto the spotlight now. Previously it was the Sheriff who still makes me seethe with anger whenever he appears on the show.

Make no mistake, I love this show and can without a doubt say it's one of the best I've watched personally, so far at least. I'll slowly continue watching the next 3 seasons as well. Bright times ahead of me :)
