The build-up to the latest natural disaster is actually rather good. April's great in the opening scene, making it a shame her screen time is so short.Irene and Leah get some nice material and there's a surprising use of Marilyn, even if the continuity does seem a bit confused.Miles is a bit wasted though, only being at the caravan park to show his face on screen.
There's some good tension between Romeo and Indi and an electric confrontation between Alf and Romeo, with the older man easily recognising the risks involved. There's an overdue callback to the development storyline and more hints of Sasha's hidden depths. She gets some surprising interaction with Xavier and there's an early but welcome look at Felix, although the boy playing him sadly isn't the most naturalistic of young actors.Xavier and John get to resurrect their double act as well, with their first scene together and the phone call from Gina being particular highlights.
