This second season is still not quite living up to the quality of the first, but episodes like this prove that Mighty Ducks: Game Changers still has a lot of heart in it.
Paying tribute to the original movies is something a lot of reboots and offshoots might not do, but all the little nods from the cameos to the outright mentions here both build good will and make for a more entertaining series.
