- The discovery of an Immunity Idol gives one castaway an early advantage in the game.
- Previously on...: Coach forged a bond with Brandon, after Edna was the only person to be nice to him right away. He then teamed up with another couple of members to get a group of five together -- including Brandon, who's Russell Hantz's nephew. He's vowed not to tell anyone his last name. Cochran escaped elimination by promising to work hard for his tribe, sending Semhar to Redemption Island.
Redemption Island: A tearful Semhar talks about her abandonment issues, then busts out some spoken word for -- well, for herself (and, presumably whoever is holding the camera).
Savaii: Cochran tells us Tribal Council was a disaster for him and he chose "fight" when it came down to "fight or flight."
Ozzy tells us that Cochran might be the next to go if he doesn't work hard at camp and on challenges.
Keith and Ozzy talk about meeting up with Jim the next day to talk about an alliance.
Upolu: Coach and Edna continue to bond. He also says he's got a good alliance with Rick, Sophie, Brandon and Albert. Coach and Edna talk about the hidden immunity idol and wonder who has it. Edna thinks someone might have it because no one is digging. Coach tells her that loyalty is his biggest focus in the game and asks for her assurance that they're together.
Savaii: Cochran is trying a new approach, cutting coconuts without being asked. He likes being "part of a well-oiled machine."
Ozzy goes idol hunting, despite not having a clue yet. He's looking for anything that seems out of place. He finds a rock in a tree and, sure enough, he's got the idol. He hides it, and vows not to let it be known that he has it.
Upolu: Lying to Coach about his true identity and all it takes is a little stroll to get him to reveal his deep, dark secret -- that he's Russell's nephew. Coach tells us that Russell told him they were solid, and Russell sent Coach home. Coach thinks Brandon is true to his word because he has nothing to gain, otherwise, by revealing his identity.
Savaii: Ozzy, Jim and Keith set out on a fishing trip. Jim says it didn't happen by chance. The poker champ says he's working on his "three-plus-two plan" -- him, Keith and Ozzy, and then the two girls -- Elise and Whitney. Jim sees himself as the architect of the plan. He says Dawn, Cochran and Papa Bear are going to be the next to go.
Upolu: Mikayla says she's tough and solid and willing to work hard. She says that will help her in the game. Brandon keeps watching her, then later tells us again that he doesn't like her and doesn't feel comfortable around her. He says she's "using her seductive ways" to get attention. He says that, as a married man he has to "stay away from that stuff."
Christine sets out to look for the idol. She finds an "interesting" tree and sees the note rolled up in it. The clue says the idol is "just barely out of reach." She doesn't know what to do next.
Immunity challenge: Jeff explains that four members of each tribe will race to unwind ribbons on a pole that will release a key ring, which can be used to release four other tribe members, who will move large, heavy crates in a puzzle to release a big one from the middle. They're also playing for comfort.
Savaii has a little trouble at the start and Upolu breaks open a lead. Upolu gets to the second stage of the challenge first, but Savaii starts gaining ground during the crate-moving portion and Savaii wins immunity with what Jeff calls "a huge comeback victory."
Brandon tells us Upolu "got too cocky" and then adds that he's "going to make sure that Mikayla goes home tonight."
Upolu: Christine says the guys "could've had quicker feet" during the challenge. Coach wants to flush the idol out, if it's in play. He proposes casting three votes for Christine and Stacey, each.
Brandon later tells Coach he's got his "doubts" about Mikayla because he fells "uncomfortable" around her. Coach tells us it wouldn't make sense to vote Mikayla, then says "he has demons" that the tribe doesn't know about.
Coach is chatting with his group when Mikayla walks up, followed by Stacey, and Coach walks away. Christine starts grilling Edna. Brandon tells Christine and Rick that he's voting for Mikayla. Christine tells us this makes "absolutely no sense whatsoever."
Brandon still insists on voting out Mikayla the next time he talks to Coach. He then adds that Stacey and Christine told him they're voting for Mikayla. Brandon tells us he doesn't like lying, but that he really wants Mikayla out.
Tribal Council: Brandon tells Jeff he thinks he's made a pretty good impression on the group. Coach says his first impression was "pretty bad," and there was a line being drawn. He then announces that he heard Stacey and Christine are going to vote out Mikayla, which shocks everyone. He says he doesn't want to see Mikayla go home.
Mikayla says she doesn't "get it," but she's nervous. Stacey asks Coach where he heard his info from. Brandon tells them to "simmer down."
Christine again says that Coach is "temporary," when asked why he keeps calling her out.
Mikayla asks Christine and Stacey directly whether they're planning on voting her out. They look her in the eye and say they are not.
Brandon sighs and says he has to come clean, then reveals that he told them to vote for Mikayla.
Jeff says he has "no idea what's about to happen," and calls for the vote.
The vote: Sophie, Edna, Christine, Stacey, Christine, Stacey, Christine, Stacey ... and the second person voted out is Christine. She looks shocked.
Mikayla looks relieved and a bit confused.
