Where is this movie????
coeave12 August 2023
I have wanted to watch this movie since it was released back in January. It never came to any of our theaters here in Connecticut and I don't see it streaming anywhere. Does anyone know why or when we may be able to see it??

I don't understand why they will take movies like Oppenheimer and Barbie, which are great movies, but put them in three or four different theaters in the same place, and yet other movie, smaller movies, like this are lost in the shuffle. I know that everything these days is about money, but when I was young, at least we had art House theaters, which showed smaller movies but we don't even have those anymore.

Fairy Land: A Moving and Inspiring Story of a Queer Family
ergo-5853413 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Fairy Land is a movie that will make you laugh, cry, and think. It is based on the true story of Alysia Abbott, who grew up with her gay father in San Francisco during the 1970s and 1980s. The movie shows how they navigated their unconventional family life, faced discrimination and prejudice, and supported each other through the AIDS epidemic. The movie is a tribute to the courage and love of a father and daughter who defied the norms and created their own fairyland. The movie is superbly acted by Emilia Jones as Alysia, Scoot McNairy as Steve, and Geena Davis as Munca, Steve's friend. The movie is also beautifully shot and directed by Andrew Durham, who captures the spirit and atmosphere of the time. Fairy Land is a movie that will touch your heart and soul, and remind you of the power of family and acceptance. I give it 10 stars out of 10.
