Not bad
crazyboule23 November 2016
For an amateur movie it better than lot of millions budget movies. For the positive side, The costumes are nice, 3d models ships are nice and the actors look greats. It almost action combat half the time if you prefer that to childish speeder races or romance on Naboo. Compare to real Star-War it more dark and maybe for an older audiences.

Negative side are the poor combat skills of the actors despite there good lookings. Some work on the special effect can have done there like on the copy spiral Axel jump of Dark Maul. Some dialogue would don't have made the cut if I was director, some are real bad and definitely need remake.

For finish I feel at ends I want to see more of this so I don't know if it because Im a big SW fans who's influence my view. But that feel SW with sub-titles and despite bad actors combat skill, it nice for the eyes.

Better than the prequels?
Ralph_7723 February 2012
I've discovered this movie after I read many positive comments on the web. I must say that it has earned all the praise. The visuals are stunning, the plot is fresh and unexpected in a Star Wars context. I loved the gigeresque look of the environment and creatures, and I found the score absolutely amazing. Maybe after the glorious days of "Spaghetti Westerns" it's time for "Spaghetti Sci-Fi"? I've read that this is a no profit project, made by fans that love Star Wars and Sci-Fi in general. Surely it does not seem a fanmovie. There are professional skills behind what you see on the screen. Many viewers believe that this movie is better than the prequels. I don't know if it's better, certainly it's different and, from my point of view, it is a good thing.

Didn't do much for me

Warning: Spoilers
"Dark Resurrection Volume 0" is an Italian 40-minute short film written and directed by Angelo Licata 4 years ago. It is a sequel to his "Dar Resurrection" movie, so if you liked that one, you can check out this short film as a little addition. It may just be my untrained eye, but to me it looked like a "Star Wars" copycat during several scenes. Then again it is set in space, there is good vs evil and I am not the biggest expert on science fiction. However, I am fairly sure that Licato's films would be a lot more known if they weren't in Italian. And there is constant dialogue from start to finish, so make sure you grab subtitles if you do not speak the language. Story-wise or acting-wise I was not really convinced here, but i must say in terms of the visual side it was a decent effort and did not look cheap or so. Anywa, all in all, the bad outweighs the good and I hope Licata will step up his game for future projects.

More shadows than lights...

Warning: Spoilers
The basic Idea is not bad but how the movie goes on.... The characters don't look like real Jedi knights (even if they are dressed the Jedi way). The battle against the enemies, in the Resurrection ship, is painful... All the Jedi Knights die when fighting against those monsters without a face that use light sabers as well... Fighting skills are really poor. The special effects are not bad, but they don't mix up with the battleships. The physics is a nonsense. The cast is really poor and the audio dubbing is even worse... I understand this is an experiment, but it is failed. What I can save is the graphics but it is not enough...

Please, if you have to watch a movie select another one...
