It's Just the Same Old Obvious Story ***
edwagreen7 January 2012
Warning: Spoilers
When a union organizer is shot to death, attention is immediately focused on the mob as well as the union hierarchy. The victim had been an informant for the D.A. and Erin Regan has guilt feelings regarding what has occurred.

That being said, the victim's wife lashes out at Regan at every opportunity. She blames her for what has happened to her husband.

You don't have to have a Ph.D to see where this episode is going. It's the only story of affairs, affairs and other acts of adultery.

A sidebar story is also good, but too short. A video is snapped of a police officer assaulting an elderly man. The guy who shot the video is obviously anti-cop and Frank Regan fixes him but good. This segment needed to be developed more since the media plays these things up and it causes resentment among the public.

By far Eren's best performance
soughtforscores26 January 2023
Normally, we all love to hate the self-righteous attorney. But this time, Eren really knocks the ball out of the park with her righteous anger and determination. Rather than her usual, "sorry, I can't do anything because I don't have the evidence," she's ready to do whatever it takes to make sure justice is served. The only unfortunate thing about this episode is that we didn't get to see this awesome part of Eren in pretty much any other episode. I love the series, and generally I consider her the worst part of the whole thing to be Eren's self-righteous and whiny behavior. But for once, she comes out as MVP.

Comes with the job
bkoganbing18 August 2016
The main plot line in this Blue Bloods episode involves Donnie Wahlberg and Jennifer Esposito investigating the shooting of a union official. The deceased was a member of the construction trade and he was acting as an informant for that other Reagan family member ADA Bridget Moynahan and she's working closely with her brother on this. She'd like not to think that the deceased activity for her caused her informant's demise.

The question of conscience here is that the deceased came to law enforcement because he was concerned about possible crooked activity in the union. A little bow to On The Waterfront for this question.

Was it connected to his activities? I can say yes and no on this one. I will also say it was something that was not asked of Bridget Moynahan that sets in motion the events that solve this case.

I wasn't crazy about the reason given for the slaying. But I did love the performance of Adam Scarimbolo as the actual shooter. He comes from as long a tradition of criminal activity as the Reagans have in law enforcement. But he's one real bottom feeder.

I'd watch this one mainly for him.

Hypocrisy At Its Highest
dranthonykstevens24 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
One of the main points is framing the police for hitting suspects. They must prove that hitting a suspect is a frame, BUT they then laugh how Danny hits his suspects when questioning them. The Hypocrisy increases because Danny hit a small old man in handcuffs with his fist to the man's face at the end of the previous episode. This is a very good series if Donnie Wahlberg was not in it.
