This show is full of unlikeable characters and thats the best part

Sadly the short run time of just 3 hours doesnt have a chance to give enough depth to the characters and every girls motives and personal life which is one of the bigger flaws of the show. I wouldve also liked to see more from the police perspective.

I would recommend this show for anyone who finds the plot interesting. Its not nearly as bad as the current rating of 5,5/10 but its not gonna blow your socks off either. To me it was fine entertainment due to loving robbery, heist, investigation and crime in cinema and television.

I would love to see season 2 with maybe 10 episodes which would only benefit a show like this. Give each character more screentime, personality and background.

I don't know if I should give it a 2 or an 8. It is very entertaining in a serial-crash sort of way. And the story is really good. But it's just SO stupid. I mean, there is not a single intelligent person in the entire show.

It's more like a caricature of the Swedish upper class.

I would have loved to know more about the true events that inspired the show, especially since this just feels so incredibly unrealistic. From the police, to the parents that ignores literally all signs, to the crazy self destructive tendencies of some of the girls.

It honestly is more like an homage to the teenage girl gang, and how invincible you can feel amongst your friends when you are 18 years old. Distilled in a TV series.

Wish they would have given us more

I typically do not start watching a new series that are only around 30 minutes per episode but somehow I did with Barracuda Queens and that's ok. The language is dubbed not very well but that's ok as well. It didn't negatively affect my opinion of it because I enjoyed the short easy breezy series. In no time I was finished with it and wishing they would have given us a hour long episode when making it. I am from the states and had never heard anything about the girls but we are similar in age. Maybe that plays a role in why I enjoyed it as much as I did. I can't help but wonder how they all turned out. I hope well!

Exciting but way too short

This series really caught my attention right from the first episode. Incredibly good actors, good production, great soundtrack, interesting story and characters but with so much development potential.

They have really succeeded in reflecting the environment from the nineties. The music, the clothes and the rest of the environment. It is an impressive interpretation that is based on real events. However, I missed other perspectives of the story. Therefore, the first season could have been several episodes. Alternatively, the episodes could have been longer than just thirty minutes. But in summary, it's a good series! I really hope there will be another season or more. It's really worth a watch!

The characters were all generally unlikeable but I'm guessing that was the intention. Mia was the character I liked the most. Probably because she was not the spoilt rich kid but she just hung around them to try and be like them. She seemed the most real.

The unhappy swinging couples that were the parents was something I really didn't understand. I'm guessing they were showing that just because people have money it doesn't necessarily make them happy. It was just weird.

While it was set in 1995, and there was elements of the 90s included like Roxette playing in the background and the Saab 9-3 convertible, the fashion/hair styles seemed very modern and didn't really feel 90s.

Entertaining story about no consequence thinking loosely based on true events

Very entertaining, comedic story about a gang of mostly spoiled teen girls that decide the law is not for them. It starts with a plot to get out of debt but turns into a quest for adventure and revenge.

This is not your typical teen girl show. It has a dark side with serious questions like sexual harassment, rape and various life problems. Mixed with a criminal yet comedic amateur element. Many interesting characters you both love and dislike at the same time, that makes you wish they had more when time to dive deeper into those characters.

The story is loosely based on true events. Many things have been changed but that is totally fine, and actually makes it more entertaining.

Deserves much better than current score of 5-6.

It could have been so much more

A promising concept isn't enough to make an intriguing series. The intention is to make a provocative and daring story of these immortal character, but in order to do so one needs to have a much deeper grasp of human understanding and the dramatic skills to pull it off. Neither the writing nor directing is competent enough. Its biggest flaw is the underdeveloped main premise - you never get a good sense or understanding of a "believable" logic behind the characters action into criminals. It's far too easy and quick and cute. The actors are struggling with the text and situations they are presented. But it's not enough - by far. And sadly to say, the directing isn't genuine and lacks the understanding of the world it's presenting. Now we are presented with paper thin characters, both main and smaller parts. It's a real shame.

Rent Sofia Coppola's The Bling Ring instead.

This Show quite entertaining - even when the story was made to fit... DNA-tests were a thing in 1995, so to leave your glass at every theft is not a good idea... Also the Investigation was not at a level that is common, even in 1995... There should be a happy end and it should be "easy-going", otherwise the story would be way shorter because none of the girls is a criminal mastermind and they won't get away several times, also because there where a lot of acquaintances and they all act like they should to keep the Illusion...

The backstory of every girl is nice and the twist at the end of the last episode was really surprising... I liked the plot, I liked the characters...
