- Feeling betrayed by their tribe, one castaway reveals a potentially game-changing secret, and appalled by the lack of loyalty within his tribe, another castaway threatens to leave the game. - Previously on 'Survivor': Ozzy and Coach are heading in opposite directions as Coach is gliding to the top of his tribe, Upolu. Ozzy's control over Savaii, meanwhile, is eroding. Jim and Cochran are teaming up on a plan to undermine Ozzy's control by dumping Elyse. After Upolu won immunity and reward, Ozzy's effort to drop Cochran was met with Elyse's ouster. She'll now face Christine on "Redemption Island."
Savaii: Ozzy's worried he was "not on the right side of a blindside." He tells us he's "pretty pissed off" and wonders how he can trust Keith and Whitney. He tells the group he's "done playing the alliance way" and declares himself "a free agent." Dawn tells Ozzy there's certainly stuff he's withholding, and he announces he has the idol. Ozzy tells the group there's a whole other aspect of the game called Redemption, and Keith replies, "Well, if you want to go there, just let us know, man."
The next day, Ozzy is out fishing and is still bitter. He catches some fish, then dumps one back into the water, keeping just one for himself. Jim and the rest of the group are annoyed that he's being "pissy" and pouting around by himself. Cochran tells us the less pleasant Ozzy is, the better it is for him.
Upolu: It's all smiles and "a beautiful day" at the Upolu camp, according to Coach. Brandon goes out looking for the clue to the idol and snaps it up. He shows Albert and Coach the clue. Albert knows about Coach already having the idol, and Coach is wondering to himself about whether "withholding information" is "lying." Coach thinks it's funny that Brandon walks around looking for the idol the same way his uncle, Russell, did. Albert tells Coach it's no time to tell Brandon, given how emotional he can be.
Redemption Island: There's no significant discussion about who's going to witness the duel at Redemption, but it's Sophie and Rick from Upolu, and Ozzy and Keith from Savaii.
Christine gets emotional when telling Jeff about how Redemption Island has become her home. She's won three duels, but says "it sucks."
The duel features the "Survivor" version of shuffleboard. Each player has four pucks on the board and will try to knock their opponent's pucks off the table. The last player with a puck on the board wins.
Rick tries to root for Christine, and she flips him the bird while pretending to scratch her nose.
With just two of her own pucks left on the table, Elyse accidentally knocks a third of her own pucks off. Eventually, though, Elyse ties it. Each player has one puck left, but Christine's next toss results in her fourth duel victory on Redemption Island.
Leaving the duel, Rick tells us he knows that Christine would flip in a minute if she comes back into the game. Sophie agrees with that assessment.
Upolu: Edna is trying to prove her worth to Coach, and she thinks it's working as she hunts for coconuts. Coach tells us he really feels comfortable with Edna, saying she's the one person "who would lay her 'Survivor' life down for me." He tells her she's safe for a while, and Edna feels reassured. She tells him she's ready to follow him into battle "even if it gets ugly."
Savaii: Ozzy realizes he's made a mistake with what he calls his "little temper tantrum." He goes back to Keith and tells him he's willing to look past it all. He also tells Keith he now knows he shouldn't have told everybody about the idol. Ozzy then goes back to try to patch things up with the rest of the tribe. Jim is thrilled that Ozzy's back is against the wall, because he's strong enough to help win challenges before the merge, and he'll be a bigger target than anyone after the merge.
Immunity challenge: The teams will assemble a wheel barrow, race through an obstacle course and collect two loads of coconuts. Other tribe members will take the wheel barrow apart and make a slingshot out of it, and they'll use the coconuts to knock down some targets. The first tribe to knock down all their targets wins immunity and a day at a natural waterslide with a picnic lunch.
Upolu jumps out to a lead when Savaii crashes its wheel barrow at the entrance to the maze. Savaii falls further behind. Upolu is already firing shots at the targets before Savaii gets all of its coconuts.
Upolu has hit a target before Savaii has even started taking shots, but Keith ties it up quickly for Savaii, and suddenly it's 1-1. Albert hits one for Upolu to make it 2-1, but Jim evens it at 2 for a moment. It's a see-saw battle and Coach is trying to get Mikayla to sit out. Savaii suddenly jumps out to a 5-3 lead and Jim nails the sixth and final target for the win. Coach is not happy. Afterward, he calls Mikayla "a problem" and says she should go home.
Savaii's reward: Everyone is happy and Dawn says it came at the right time after all the hurt feelings and drama.
Upolu: Everyone's bummed at the Upolu camp and Coach reiterates his feeling to us that Mikayla should go home. Albert tells her that Coach and Brandon are going to target her. Albert tries to assure her that he'll be able to talk Coach out of it.
Albert goes and talks to Sophie and Rick about Edna being weaker in challenges than Mikayla. Sophie and Rick are convinced, then Albert goes and talks to Brandon, who says he doesn't want to vote Mikayla off and thinks Edna's up to something and he doesn't trust her. Brandon then says that he's going to keep Edna because he gave his word that Edna would be their sixth.
Albert tries to talk Coach into voting Edna off and Coach says Mikayla was uncoachable. He also thinks Edna will be more loyal after the merge.
Coach goes and talks to Rick about how he thinks something is getting railroaded. Rick's confused. Albert then tells Rick the vote is in his hands. Rick doesn't like being the linchpin.
Tribal Council: Coach says they didn't compete as a team, and brings up Mikayla's lack of success at hitting targets. Edna laments that she was left out of the challenge.
Brandon says they have to be up in numbers at the merge, but says loyalty will be more important than numbers at the merge. Albert says you need numbers, and Sophie agrees. Jeff asks Coach about how the tribe is divided. Coach responds that he wants "honor, loyalty, integrity." Albert says "loyalty can be faked, (but) you can't fake strength."
Brandon raises his hand and then calls out his allies, announcing their "pact to have six people" and that they "chose to keep Edna." He points out Mikayla and says "there should only be one vote tonight." Brandon tells Albert to vote him out now if they're going to play disloyal.
Coach suggests that Brandon is revealing too much, but then seems to be referencing his own resistance to telling Brandon about having the idol when he says, there are "some parts that you keep hidden for a time, but it doesn't mean you're being disloyal or dishonest." This leads Brandon into a mini-rant about "half-lies" and say there's no gray area.
The vote: Brandon writes down Mikayla's name, Mikayla writes down Edna's name, as does Albert. He whispers that he hopes Rick will do the same. Edna writes down Mikayla's name and says she hopes Mikayla's time on the show "will help your modeling career."
The vote: Mikayla, Edna, Mikayla, Edna, Mikayla, Edna, and ... the sixth person voted out is Mikayla. Albert hangs his head for a moment and Coach gives Edna a wink.
