The movie was filmed in Morristown, Tennessee, where The Evil Dead (1981) was also filmed. The brick used by Karen as a doorstop when she throws out the garbage is from the original The Evil Dead (1981) cabin, which burned down in the early 1980s.
Filmed in a working factory at nighttime and on weekends over the course of seven months.
The opening credits shot was filmed in one take, with no hidden cuts.
On one occasion during filming, the crew missed cleaning up some fake blood from the floor. The next morning, workers saw the blood and reported it to management as a possible workplace injury.
In the scene in which Karen is vacuuming, a framed jersey can be seen in the background. That jersey was worn by actress Danielle Lilley in the directors' first film, Five Across the Eyes (2006).
