A gunman arrives at the main entrance of a hospital with a gunshot victim, a child. Doctor Lucinda Edwards intercedes, then has to decide who needs her care, unfortunately someone she deems less worthy, dies.
I now chuckle how anyone and anything that has a Line of Duty connection gets a mention, let's be clear, this has pretty much zero relation to it, other than dramatic intensity, this seems to be a medical drama.
Dramatic, tense, fast paced and intriguing, I thought this was a fine first episode, it really had grabbed my attention. Recent medical drama Maternal flopped, axed after just one series, and I understand why, this was altogether much better viewing.
I think this is going to develop into something really good, a few questions, but the main one I want to know, is why was Lucinda off sick.
Very well acted, very well produced, I think this one's a winner.
8/10.
