The Afterparty: Season 2 follows Aniq and Zoe's relationship to attend Zoe's sister's wedding to the Minnow family. The Minnows are wealthy with Elizabeth Perkins as the head of the family and ready to marry off her son Edgar who is played by Zach Woods. Unfortunately there happens to be another murder and Aniq calls upon Haddish to help solve the case. Everyone is a suspect from Ken Jeong who plays the father to John Cho as the Funcle to Paul Walker Hauser as Grace's ex boyfriend. Anna Konkle acts as the adopted sister who falls in love with Grace who is played by Poppy Liu. Jack Whitehall played Edgar's best friend since high school and he has his own motive to get back at Edgar. Vivian Vu played Ken's wife and Cho's love interest which became the center of attention of the storyline. Ben Schwartz and Jamie Demetriou reprise their roles from the first season with small insignificant scenes. Martin Mull acts as the town sheriff and non coincidentally he had a role in the original Clue movie. Jaleel White, Elijah Wood, Paul Scheer, Keke Palmer, Daniel Radcliffe, and Gemma Chen had cameos this season. Much like the first season and the order of the story was just as good but unfortunately there will be not be any follow up murder mysteries.

Warning: Spoilers
In the final chapter of The Afterparty Season 2, the murderer is finally revealed. Zoe, who is not mentioned in any other story, is the only person who was not mentioned in anyone's story. Zoe referred to the dog, Colonel, as a Cujo-like villain in her brief story. After Edgar interrupted her maid of honour speech, Zoe wanted to slip it in Grace's suitcase before leaving for her honeymoon. Zoe confronted the dog and threw him out of the window, assuming he was dead. Howie declares Grace as the police's official suspect, influenced by Isabel's influence. However, Danner reminds him that he holds a public post and cannot brand someone a suspect without proper investigation. Howie is unwilling to change, prompting Danner to go back inside and bring her phone. Isabel explains that Colonel isn't dead when she brings up the incident, and Colonel walks out merrily as if nothing ever happened. In the text, Danner explains that Colonel landed on the trampoline outside the window, which was the same trampoline that Isabel was jumping on before the wedding. Aniq and Danner argue that everyone had access to Hannah's flowers and had the opportunity and motive to kill Edgar. They pronounce the killer as Ulysses, who was trying to kill Feng. Vivian reveals that he tried to get over her but couldn't vanquish love from his heart. Ulysses pressed Vivian to accept her feelings for him, but she rejected it. She made it clear that she would never leave Feng when he himself entered the scene. Vivian did not take the flower arrangements from the rehearsal dinner until the next morning, using this opportunity to mix the Devil's trumpet in a concentrated teapot. Instead, he mixed water from the shower and mixed it in a whiskey glass at the bar the night of the wedding to give to Feng. Ulysses claims to have taken Grace's DNA for a paternity test, but Aniq cites Seb's testimony, which shows Ulysses fiddling around with a whiskey glass, whereas Grace only drank Rose. Ulysses also lied that Feng had taken a sip from the drink he made for him when it was clear that Feng had not. Feng mistakenly picked up Edgar's glass, the one that wasn't poisoned. Zoe puts on Kyle's footage from the afterparty, where this theory is confirmed. Danner refers to the morning when Edgar's body was found, and Ulysses ran to Feng and Vivian's room when he heard a scream. He was even terrified when he saw Feng was alive. Howie believes Ulysses' theory is circumstantial, as there is no solid evidence to prove his guilt. Zoe reveals that she hid a teapot to protect Grace, and she even drinks from it to prove it wasn't poisoned. Vivian threatens to ingest Ulysses' horn, but Ulysses dislodges it, confirming his guilt. The police apprehend Ulysses, and the mystery is solved. Isabel apologizes to Grace and asks her to sign a waiver of claim on Edgar's fortune. Grace agrees, but she is entitled to a million, which she gives to Feng to pay off his debts. Seb is fired after he accepts very little money for the Bucephalus in the quickfire sale. The coin's value triples due to Travis's Reddit army investment. Aniq, with Feng and Vivian's blessings, becomes Zoe's partner and they marry. Hannah and Grace embrace their love for each other. Aniq suggests writing a book isn't her style, but one year later, Danner heeds Aniq's advice and makes a movie based on the first murder instead of a book.
