- Beginning of the journey at the Pont d'Arc, a natural arch over the Ardèche river, a little boat tour on the river.Then Jérôme goes to Thueyts where he meets Vinciane Teston: they cross the village (a former place of silkworm breeding) and go to an old bridge called "Pont du Diable" : then they climb a mountain (via ferrata) and come back through a zip line.Later Jérôme is in Aubenas where he meets Annick Carle-Roux, an historian and they talk about the restored castle of Aubenas (11th century), they visit the market on the place and buy goat cheese and chestnut cream.They go the "Mas de Saribou": on the way they met Sébastien Ansac, a winemaker who weeds his vineyard using a horse instead of a tractor.The "Mas of Saribou" has been restored by Michel Roux and Annick and now is a guesthouse with a natural swimming pool.Michel Roux is farmer, produces apples, kiwis and his own wine (Syrah-Grenache).They enjoy the goat cheese, dried sausages and a good wine.Then Jérôme and Michel go for a walk into the National Park, there are many caves in the mountains (used as sheep pens) and they arrive at the "Aven d'Orgnac" : Stéphane Tocino, a experimented speleologist helps them to go down and they visit the cave (about 450.000 years old).Then Jérôme meets David Faure, a barge constructor on the bike path "Via Rhôna" ; they ride bikes along the "Rhône River", cross the river on the suspension bridge of Rochemaure and reach the place of Grane: there is a castle largely in ruins and a green theater.They return to the suspension bridge, follow the bike path and take a boat from Cornas to Tournon.There Jérôme is invited to stay on the barge of David (a restored barge ,now a guesthouse for the bikers).Then Jérôme travels to the village of Rocles where he meets Samuel Maignan, a baker who is associated with 25 farmers of the place and they manage a store where the people can buy local products (bread, fruits, sorbets, cheese or beer ): he meets also Johan Rey, a farmer who grows hops for the making of the local beer.Last stop: Labastide-sur Bésorgues: Jérôme meets Marta Dervin , a female potter who works with sandstone, they have a walk through the forest, she shows him where she gets the sandstone and climb in little mountain to see the panorama. Besides we see zooms about the tourists who navigate in canoes in the Ardèche river (the photographer who takes pictures of these tourists, the gendarmes who helps the tourist to navigate on the river, the river guide Ugo Magnani who shows to the tourists the lonely places of the Gorges of the Ardèche river), about the protection of the National Park (only two bivouacs are allowed every night in this area), about the villages of Saint Montan and Beauchastel which live now a renewal (young people have come to live and restored the local houses and reforested with olive trees), about the special excursions for the children in the Cave of Orgnac, about the fishing practices and about the conservancy of the rivers, , about several sports in the wilderness (mountain bikes trial, rock climbing), about the exhibition of parcours in the villages, about the Montgolfier family (hot air balloon, about Marc Seguin and the suspended bridge in Tournon and other inventors, about the families who play "Geocaching" (looking for a treasure in the wilderness) and about people who climb trees and made acrobatics in these trees.—zutterjp48
