Minutes after the engines flamed out there would not remain enough kerosene in some part of the wings to cause an explosion during the crash landing.
Flight KA29 could easily have landed at London City Airport, as the plane had both the necessary fuel and was flying over it anyway. Letting the plane run out of fuel and landing at Northolt Airport miles away is completely illogical both from the pilot's point of view and the British government.
