It's Half Good & Half Bad
9 February 2013 | by nick-monktonSee all my reviews

Now before you guys go all ape on me I'll talk about what I like about this game

1: The Gameplay - The gameplay is fun to experiment with. 2: The Skylanders - Collecting all 32 of them is ridiculously fun! 3: The Graphics - It Looks Awesome 4: The Music - The music in these areas are great 5: The Co-op: The co-op is extremely fun with friends

Now let's talk about the bad stuff in this game 1: The story - It's a very ovious story separated in to way too many chapters (plus it's about gathering items for the core of light (ooh that's original)) 2: Only Being able to play with one other friend - the co-op IS super fun but I would've liked to play with other characters 3: The difficulty - some levels are really easy. The only hard level is the final level (But even that has easy moments) 4: The ruins... or whatever they call it in Skylanders - after you explore the area for a lot of times, it can get really boring & meh But the worst thing about this game... Is the characters. Almost every single Damn character in this game is obnoxius, I'll name them all off

Hugo: While he doesn't do anything annoying, he's CONSTANTLY wiping his glasses

Quigley: This guy has lame lines & can be annoying

Cali: She isn't really that interesting & doesn't do much either

Now let's look at the three worst characters in this game (also, they're on par with Jasper Batt.Jr)

Diggs: This guy does nothing & has an annoying voice, when he gets hurt, you'll be so happpy

Flynn: Doing the voice Flynn is without a doubt the biggest mistake Patrick Warburton ever made. He's full of himself & constantly says he did everything. He probably can't even put up a good fight if you put him in combat with Magikarps.

But by far the worst character is... Kaos: This F***ING villain is the worst character we've ever created. Yes, even worse than Gurgi from The Black Cauldron. Why, he has the kind of voice & dialogue which we should never listen to. He boasts through out 80% of the time he is in screen, also he has the kind of voice we should not listen to making him even worse. He is very obnoxius & is only geared towards toddlers (which is bad enough since the game got a certificate 7 over in the UK). But even toddlers will want to snap his neck.

Bottom line, this game is mediocre. While the gameplay is fun. The characters are some of the worst we've seen in a long time.
