I stumbled on this series last Spring while in search for a good drama series to dive into, and this here is gold.
The characters grew up throughout the series, and season three is definitely more mature and darker. One cannot help but make comparisons to other vampire themed teen series, but Young Dracula proves that you don't have to change the rules in order to make your vampire lore more modern. A solid set of characters and amazing writing truly lifts this vampire family off the screen into a fleshed out family that we can identify and be vested in without the angst that usually plague series with this theme.
Season three is definitely better in terms of effects and interesting plots, though this cannot be achieved without two solid seasons that made us fell in love with this vampire family and their friends in the first place.
Just brilliant.
