Very intriguing Documentary
loonymarine5 November 2012
Warning: Spoilers
The documentary shares some very amazing facts about the pyramids and how no one knows how it could have been built by the Egyptians such a loooooong time ago.

The perfection of the Pyramid build is startling and interesting. It is symmetrical and can be related to Pi, golden ratio as well as speed of light. The pyramid of Giza aligns with the stars.

All similar builds across the planet can be drawn together to have a straight line drawn across the map signifying that the same people may have inherited such knowledge over thousands of years apart from each other and along this line. Why?

The Pyramids are built in such a coded way that we are still to unravel the message that they are trying to tell us.

No mummified corpse facts in this documentary.

Fascinating!

Warning: Spoilers
I will give an account of what fascinated me the most ( w.r.t Giza) after watching and researching this documentary.

Golden Ratio: The surface area of above four surfaces totaled divided by area of base gives golden ratio. If we consider mid distance of one of the four sides from the centre length to be one the height gives square root of golden ratio and the hypotenuse golden ratio itself. The triangle that gives us this numbers measures angles as 38-90-52 degrees.

pi: If we consider height of pyramid as radius and use '2 x radius x pi' we get perimeter of the base. Thus (perimeter / 2r) gives us pi.

speed of light: The coordinate of location give numerical value of speed of light. Also if diagonal of square formed by base is considered diameter to bigger circle and the length cutting midpoints of sides is considered diameter to small circle. Circumference of bigger circle formed subtracted by circumference of smaller circle gives 'numerical value' of speed of light.

Feel free to google it yourselves.

The structures portrayed in documentary and their locations (with respect to each other) are fascinating.

Final Verdict: If you have asked me a few years ago about the construction of such structure's, I would have said it to be that by Aliens or living beings from not of this time. Today however I feel it could have been built by the humans then as it contains math that can be seen in nature as well.

Don't be afraid of evidence.
tomcollinsx11 February 2020
The previous review proves the case - before any comment on the film's merits and claiming that he doesn't go in for conspiracy theories, the reviewer immediately labels the subject an 'amateur topic', and brings up the red herring of 'conspiracy' by invoking it as possibly the work of Scientology, and reveals the ad hominem attack that is so commonly relied upon when other more solid refutations simply don't exist. When he does get around to addressing the case laid out by the filmmaker, all he can say is to admit that 'based on their 'argumentation line' and "what they want you to think', that it makes sense to him. Duh. Forget about 'what they want you to think', and simply be open to the math and the realities of what stands right before us that we still can't somehow explain. The film is well done all around. The narrative voice and translations are handled well, and the numerous layers of math, geometry, physics and astronomy - and the implications of all of these 'coincidences' is compelling.

Jaw dropping

By far one of the best documentaries on megalithic structures I have thus come across. Goes deeply into the mathematics containing the golden mean, planetary reversals, alternative history compared to the mainstream version of events. Does a fantastic job of connecting the dots between ancient civilizations, showing the correlations between structures from all over the world. Full of great images of the ancient sites and surrounding areas. I have seen many documentaries on the subject and am astonished by the amount of information that is revealed here. Be prepared to go on a journey to do further research,to dwell deeper into the mysteries of the great pyramid and other ancient sites! Packed with intelligent questions and resolved with even more intelligent solutions.. logic, I feel that cannot be disputed or set aside. Worth the watch and will definitely withstand the test of critics and skeptics alike. Be prepared to be amazed!

Mind expanding

This is NOT rubbish. What IS rubbish is our current acceptance of what the establishment believes to be true. The only fact is this. ALL evidence points to theories NOT facts. So what is rubbish is discounting the FACTS that these monuments were built with more precision than we can create today. And the salve theory has been mathematically dis-proved to not hold up as a viable conclusion anymore. We cannot theorize in the limited framework of our current civilization. We do know that science tells us that human beings were hunters and gatherers just 100 years before this enigmatic monumental empire formulated suddenly as a morel mushroom after a rain. Evolution gets turned upside down when talking about dates and human civilization. This documentary points some mathematical facts that we must look at. We must give ancient civilization more credit for the crowning achievements that we today cannot do. Folks over 2 million stones built the great pyramid and many weighing in at 7-10 tons a piece. They were perfectly cut as though made with a laser with no spaces in the joints exposed. There is NO debris of carbon for fire so we don't know how they lit the interior and NO hieroglyphs were found inside nor anywhere around Egypt depicting the building of the pyramids.

It's about time humanity wakes up to the fact that the real archaeological evidence we are discovering is being suppressed by mainstream science in the name of preserving theories made by powerful ego driven men. Reject all authority before watching this. Ignore ALL OPINIONS that try to keep us in the dark. Once we truly understand the great pyramid we will discover our next golden age and it wont be one built on senseless materialism and competitive ruthless capitalism.

You have an interest in Egyptology, of course you do, doesn't everybody. This is the daddy of Egyptian documentaries, it is filled with so many facts & figures, especially about the Great Pyramid of Giza, it is stellar geek-viewing.

This production isn't your standard History Channel, or National Geographical Channel regurgitation. This presentation reveals construction intricacies, graphical connections, the golden ratio, suggestions of climatic change that naturally occur by way of the North Magnetic Pole, and a mathematical number that equates to the speed of light.

Be taken aback.

One documentary about the Great Pyramid - not to miss ...
kiwilove20064 July 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Contains spoiler(s). There seems to be 2 English versions of this documentary - with the male one being the most widely available? The woman narration has been pointed out as being the more authentic - but I haven't done a close analysis to see why is this one better?

I can imagine that they don't differ widely in the general presentation given - to bring to light what measurements are contained within the Great Pyramid, and how important the Sphinx is, tied to the Great Pyramid.

This is a must view documentary for anyone intrigued by the Great Pyramid and wish to know more about it. It is of course the most baffling monument from antiquity - though it's high precision can be linked to others - of the same exactness and age?

What can be confirmed - is that diorite stone pounders and copper chisels were not used to carve, shape and assemble precision fitting stones together - without mortar - then, how did they do it?

This documentary does not provide answers as to how did they do it? Except to say that current explanations given by egyptologists are thoroughly inadequate.

Hopefully this and other such documentaries will encourage further research into this puzzles - which need adequate explanation - which should help fill in the missing gap of human history that we know so little about. That mankind is of the order of millions of years old, but we can only go back to around 12,000 or less years of human history - that the further back we go - the less we know ...

It is better to disregard the Bible and of Christianity, etc - they are of no help to clear up our missing history. In that all cultures and their histories are as important as any other to help fill in the gaps - and to not rely upon one source/explanation alone - to tell the whole story. The Bible and Christianity are so overrated - and I personally think they are wildly inaccurate and unreliable for any information - the same for all religious sources - that you cannot rely on them alone to give you clear facts or information. But I don't disregard them completely - as they have their own story to tell one day - when the truth about religions be told - one day - perhaps?

Great Documentary about Pyramid's unbelievable features
supertyphoon-649873 June 2016
I don't know what Vivien is so upset about. I think she is the stupid one who thinks this documentary was stupid. She tries to point out absurd things in the video, but she only mentions one of them. I would like to know what other absurd things she noticed. The Great Pyramid of Giza remains one of the greatest architectural achievement of all time and it is still much debated just how it was built so long time ago. In the video, they also talk about the statue of Ramses in the Temple of Luxor. Chris Dunn who specializes in precision machinery and does jobs for the military is astonished at the perfect symmetry in the face of the statue during his research saying "it is just unbelievable." Unlike Vivien, I didn't find much "absurd" things in this film, just aroused more curiosity and amazement at the greatest achievement in ancient human history.

Revelation Indeed!
lesphillips-0912919 October 2017
I have watched this documentary at least six times as of today's date. I will watch it again and again because it is totally thought provoking. How any one person can think that the history that we teach is correct, is beyond me. Modern historians are afraid of anything not to be considered "mainstream" because it affects their livelihood. We need to look again and be prepared to re-write.

We all know that the Gizeh plateau and it's pyramids are amazing but this documentary will open your mind to so much, you will start to question your beliefs.

Yes, as someone has commented, there are many more pyramids in Egypt. There are definitely hundreds more on the globe yet to be discovered. Check out the recent find in Bosnia?

Excellent Documentary.

Six billion slaves could not have built the Great Pyramid...........in my opinion.

I've seen and read everything I can about pyramids - this is the best!
heldriver16 May 2018
There are people that are going to hate this documentary no matter what, because it challenges the established view of the Great Pyramid of Giza, who built it, how and why. The notion that the Great Pyramid and many other megalithic structures around the world are much older than we're lead to believe is not new. I've seen and read some compelling evidences to support this many times before. But even though I've watched and read everything I've found on that subject this movie still presented me with a lot of new facts. It's not an easy watch, especially if you're new to this theory, so I suggest you watch it when you really have time to pay attention, and if you watch it with an open mind (or better yet, just take in the facts) I can promise you your mind will be blown!

Who financed this movie?!
larshonegger12 November 2016
The quality of the movie is above average for such an amateur topic. That's why I ask a serious question to the audience: Could have Scientology financed this project? I know this may sound strange, but watch the movie and compare it with their believes, it could be possible in my opinion.

I am not believing that much in conspiracy stuff, but if you look at the argumentation line and they whey the movie wants you to think, it could be very well possible in my view. Furthermore, the youtube channel does not allow any comments and everything else about this movie (except their own homepage) is very scarce on the internet.

Curious about your thoughts...

Truth Amidst a World of Lies
gxdigitizer25 June 2022
Most of the history we are fed is presented by so called experts who usually just spew unrealistic theories as facts. When information is presented that contradicts or fails to follow their (stories) it's labeled as misinformation and attacked by hired drones in an attempt to discredit the work because it creates doubt on the pre-packaged misinformation that we're all expected to blindly follow because self proclaimed (experts) demand it.

Watch this documentary with an open mind and come to your own conclusions on what you believe may be true. If our so called historical (experts) were really experts then they would have it all figured out with proof, but in reality they either have no clue, or they are intentionally misleading us away from the truth to protect ancient hidden secrets for their benefit.

Heap of lies
becomepostal21 August 2018
This film is not a scientific documentary. This film is an incoherent heap of unproven claims, erroneous reasonings, invented events, ambiguous statements. The foundation of this movie is a stubborn refusal of most scientific achievements, under the pretext that it comes from an established elite and that the elites must be challenged. There is some perfume of conspiracy in this attitude.

All in all, had this film been labeled in the fiction category, there would be no ethical problem. After all, works of fiction (like Da Vinci Code, for example) have their merit as long as the viewer knows it is fiction. But the makers of this movie are actively promoting pseudoscience.

This movie is aimed at people who lack critical thinking, who ignore basic mathematics, who never studied physics, who don't know the scientific process, who never checked how historians get their facts together.

On the contrary, people who have at least a little bit of expertise will quickly find how and why most of the content of the movie is totally invalid. Furthermore, there is an appeal to emotions that is mostly manipulative at key moments in this movie.

This changed my Mind
saumyadsta21 January 2021
This peice of documentary singlehandly changed how I look at ancient civilizations now. Its shocking how the mainstream media is trying to falsify this by associating it with Alien theories and what not, Its actually based on facts and facts alone. The conclusion at the end is really eye opener.

The old saying applies here: question everything!
cid-1415 March 2024
The mere fact that a film made with very scientific pretensions is being removed from everywhere and stigmatised everywhere shows what a real challenge it is to mainstream archaeology juggling with ridiculous 'evidence'.

The funny thing is, there are no alien beings in it. The cleverly crafted film simply points out the contradictions that surround the construction of the pyramid, for which the mainstream lunatics cannot offer a rational explanation. Instead, they stick to completely obvious nonsense that you don't even need to be an expert to spot. And then, of course, comes the part where they start to excoriate and label as pseudo-scientific those who have put many years of real research into the film.

Guys, try building a pyramid with Bronze Age tools and see how far you get. Good luck! You will need it.

Pyramid mysteries remain a mystery
stuartwm-798-43660521 September 2013
I love anything Egyptian. I love historical documentaries. I love researchers who solve mysteries. So how could I possibly be unimpressed with this offering? It is because this show is presented with a load of unsubstantiated links and then wrapped up as a revelation and presented as possible scientific fact for us to consider.

I'm not sure whether the producers actually set out to see how many people would be pulled in by this rubbish, or whether they actually believed they have solved a cosmic insight that we should be grateful for receiving. I'm pretty positive it is the first option.

You will love it for some of the visuals, the number of global sites they link into the revelation, and the interesting facts they have uncovered. You will hate it if you have an inquiring mind that questions the relevance of the facts presented and the almost Von Danniken method of tying everything together with zero depth.

Incredibly stupid...
vivien-berthuol28 November 2013
Warning: Spoilers
If you have an IQ over 10, or if you have some basic knowledge in physics, after 5 min you understand that this movie is just BS. I just watched it until the end to see how stupid they could get. I would just mention one of the most absurd part, which is the alignment of the different monuments, that are not even really aligned, and there are so many other monuments across the world that are not aligned. And the explanation of the change of magnetic poles makes no sense. Why would it kill every human but not the animals, plants, etc... Anyway I won't waste my time talking about all the absurd stuffs in this movie, just the whole movie is absurd.

The documentary is nicely done but not based on facts
mrheub18 November 2019
If you speak French, listen to this interview of the author of the book (Grimault) (and the director of the film, Pooyard) .You'll soon realize that he is a quack, contradicting himself almost as much as Donald Trump and that his measurements (the presence of the meter in the construction) and his claims (the symmetry of the statue, the alignment of the sites, etc) haven't been proven and are not based on a scientific approach. They're distorting reality to reach the conclusions that suit them to make a riveting story.

Why this is speculative nonsense
Radu_A8 December 2023
Science is hard. You have to read a lot of stuff and you also have to use your brain to understand it. This pseudocumentary is one of the most prominent examples how mental laziness combined with the devastating impact of (a)social media can turn historical science into conspiracy banter. The Ph. D. holders in this world stand little chance to weather an avalanche of BS, but the willingness of so many people to subscribe to outlandish theories forces as many clarifications as patience can muster.

The film's premise is that the tools of 4500 years ago would not have allowed Ancient Egyptians to build on such a magnificent scale, and that the pyramids - and other major ancient constructions - serve an astronomical rather than a religious or funerary purpose. The jumpy conclusion is that they must be remnants of a civilization that came before us, and that they intend us to warn about the consequences of climate change. To make that last point, artifacts from a time span of over 4000 years are haphazardly combined, from the pyramids to the Moai on Rapa Nui.

All of this can be easily debunked. The Ancient Egyptians developed an understanding of Geometry early on because the tide of the Nile was paramount for harvesting and taxation. Architects such as the first Pharaoh's chancellor Imhotep were revered (in his case deified), and construction was viewed as supreme art. Astronomy was one of the earliest scientific endeavors because the stars were the only source of light apart from the sun, which was identified as the source of vegetation and therefore life early on. The combination of ritualistic and scientific purposes makes complete sense in such an environment. Ancient Egypt was a totalitarian monarchy, so the entire population could be obliged - perhaps even willingly so - to participate in the construction of a monument to not just their ruler, but their society as a whole, which would explain their relatively short construction period.

Why then do so many people believe that this is just not possible? The most likely response would be racism. Mathematics and Geometry are commonly ascribed to Caucasian Greeks of the 6th/5th century BC, although it's obvious that they learned it from Egyptians during the Minoan Age. There's just no solid proof for this because of thousands of years of warfare. Especially Frenchmen like the "informer" of this film Jacques Grimault (who is involved in lots of litigation by the way) have come up with intellectual constructs to declare non-Caucasian civilizations incapable of scientific achievement. The inventor of race theory, Arthur de Gobineau, was French after all. That doesn't mean the Ancient Egyptians were black, they were bronze-colored, but African nevertheless - and so are their achievements.

While I am generally not in favor of critical race theory (complex problems are not solved with general theories), this film is actually a fairly good example why it's necessary. The real mystery is not how the pyramids were built, but why so many people regard our civilization as the pinnacle of human existence.
