Great actors. Set in Branderberg Germany. Reminds me of the female detectives from Murder in Suburbia. Great dynamics between two stars. Gritty and fast moving.

Refreshing police drama

This is a very entertaining German police drama with quite a few bits of humor thrown in. The two lead actresses are wonderful and have excellent chemistry with each other as well as the other members of the squad -- some who are a bit eccentric. This show is a refreshing change from the typical USA police drama where they seem to have guns drawn half-a-dozen times an episode whenever they encounter potential suspects. Not the case in this European based show apparently as they solve these rather interesting crimes with wit and grit. While it is in German the subtitles are completely adequate.
Had potential but too much giggling

I typically love foreign language police procedurals and I love female cop buddy shows but this one misses the mark for me. People are tragically murdered but these two spend their time giggling, usually over men. I really wanted to love it but they seem so unprofessional and silly. I think it's ok that the show isn't extremely grim or brutal - we have enough of those shows - but there's something off about the tone here. It seems too lighthearted for the material. I've watched three or four episodes but it isn't growing on me, quite the opposite. With so many shows to choose from I don't know why PBS went for this one.
