This film was the basis of the human characters in the movie Avenging Disco Vampires.
A final scene was filmed where Jacob begins to drunkenly sing along to Frank Sinatra's song "My Way" while Rhonda is bound in a hall closet. The scene culminated in Rhonda freeing herself, finding a gun hidden in the closet and confronting Jacob. Because the filmmakers could not secure the rights to the song, the ending was never used.
Due to a limited budget and shooting schedule, the screenplay was written as a series of short scenes that could be removed or done without completely if needed. In the end, all the scenes were shot but due to a music rights issue the last scene was not included in the final cut.
