- Swapnali Gaikwad has sung Malang in her beautiful voice. Malang is a story about a break up and how this girl in love reminisces all the beautiful golden memories of her love. Swapnali is basically from Latur and she is the disciple of legendary musician Adinath Mangeshkar. She teaches classical music to her students from all over the world. Swapnali has recently made a world record of singing 92 songs of the nightingale of India late Lata Mangeshkar on the occasion of her 92nd birthday. For her this world record and her effort Governor of Maharashtra felicitated her in Raj Bhavan. Malang is penned by Swapnali's student Shabana Himatyar is also a famous writer. Swapnali and Shabana had a wish of making a song with Shabana's lyrics and Swapnali's voice since many years. During that time, they went to a Mushaira (a program where Urdu poetry is read); here they met Abdul Malik who is basically from Pakistan and he later became the manager of this soulful song Malang. This trio decided to create this magic using their talents. Shabana has not only penned the song but she has composed it as well. Each one of this trio has sowed the seeds of their culture in this beautiful melody. They have not only used the Indian and Pakistani instruments but also used the flavor of western music with their instruments. So, even the American youth can connect to the song. Usually, the mixing and mastering process of the song is very costly but Jatay Bhardwaj from Kolkata has made and done it very easy and wonderful. It's truly an international song. In Marathi Ajay-Atul has made the few songs of Sairat in America but Swapnali has sung this song in Latur's V-Tune Studio.—Vishwajyot Ranjankar
