I think that I was being rather generous by giving this a 1/10. IMDb doesn't allow 0/10 Reviews.

Anyone who thinks that a machinima (Outside of Red vs Blue) has a place on IMDb must think very highly of them self, and should probably rethink their values and priorities in life.

From my limited experience with this series, it has sub par writing, editing, voice acting (For the most part), and cinematography.

The only saving grace of this series is that Matt (Higher Octane) did some voice work in it. His beard is probably the only reason this deserves 1 Star.

Just a real shame

This show is really bad. I came across a review by another machinima director and he praised it for having great dialogue and camera work. I kept watching, waiting for this to get better. But it never happened. It was in that moment I learned to never listen to that guy again because he's a pretentious idiot. Rain is literally about nothing. The first season is "about" the main "character" having an irrational fear that his emotions are effecting the weather. He has no grounds to believe this, but he does. Then the "exciting" B-plot is about his cardboard cut out friends trying to find him. The first season...or I'm sorry, "series", has absolutely nothing happening in it. He also calls his episodes, "segments". I feel like it's just to be different. Yeah, man! Fight the system! The second season is slightly better. Slightly! There is actually some sort of conflict. But there's really not much. I feel like this may have been because he had three additional writers in the second season. Their efforts unfortunately don't help all that much seeing as the creator, James Klim, seems to be a prepubescent boy who makes lazy sex jokes. At this point, I was actually kind of fascinated. Because the thing is, the actors are pretty decent performers. They clearly just have nothing to work with. So what really interests me is that this guy has everything at his disposal to make something good, but squanders the opportunity. I watched some of his other videos only to find out that he is a completely delusional, narcissist. The dialogue is pointless and flat. The humor is juvenile. The camera-work that was praised is pretty sub-par for an in-game engine where you can literally do ANYTHING with the camera. I shouldn't be so harsh though. This is my fault really. I was the one who decided to waste my time watching this. I'm sure as hell not watching the third season because the first episode is over an hour long. Let me guess, more sex jokes, sexism, homophobia and lack of any sort of plot. Yeah, I'll pass.
