Christmas On The Slopes (2022) -

Yummy in blue and looking very muscular in those jumpers and shirts, Olivier Renaud was gorgeous and charming as leading man Ansel in this film and even his French accent seemed to be good too, but Sophia, played by Soma Chhaya was annoying and whiney, up herself and not really worthy of him.

The stupid situation that she got in to was daft as well.

Because of Olivier's skilled acting abilities, which were refreshing for a film like this and his passionate delivery as a fiery Chef, the romantic element was enjoyable, but I would have liked a different female lead, perhaps Rachel Boston or someone similar might have had more appeal in the role for me.

It was hard to tell if Sophia was a Chef or a Baker? She seemed to be a Jack of all trades, who had blagged her way to the top and then stupidly sneaked in to Ansel's kitchen.

And once again, as with so many of these made for TV stories, it didn't need that deceit to make the story work, because it could have been just as good if she hadn't told him that she was famous, instead of pretending to be his soux chef, but even then it would have been just as easy for her to be a guest chef that was abrupt and mellowed for him to fall for. I've grown very tired of these stories that are silly for the sake of it, but fortunately Olivier saved this one.

The receptionist however was over the top and trying too hard. That's my only other note for this film, because apart from the farce it wasn't that bad at all.

I would probably watch it again, but I think that it's high time we see Mr. Renaud in some skimpy trunks or at least without his shirt?

6.25/10.
