A REAL DOOM film made by a fan for the fans
amershihab1 August 2022
Bill Thorpe has created a highly imaginative spiritual sequel to Doom with this crazy film made in his shed!

The backgrounds and many of the props are made from cardboard, but don't let that put you off, he has put in so much passion & care to craft a highly unique experience which ultimately turned out to be every doom fans wet dream.

This guy gets it.... And it goes to show that you can pump all the money in the world and big named actors into a film, but none of that matters if the source material is disrespected.

Bill 100% understands what makes Doom... Doom.

And he delivers a highly entertaining film which ticks all the right boxes while adding his own original ideas into the mix.

Don't expect a masterpiece... it was never meant to be one. However, for those who love the series, you are in for a massive treat!

A perfect love letter to Doom.

Please, id software & Universal (Or whoever owns the film rights), give Bill Thorpe the keys to the Doom franchise and I am sure he will blow you away with what he can do.

If Bill can capture the imagination of Doom fans around the world from making a film in his shed, I'm sure he can create the perfect big budget Doom film that filmmakers keep missing the mark on.

Anyway, myself and many Doom fans are looking forward to the next instalments in this series and I think Bill has seen that there is massive interest in his work!

I hope the big shots over in Hollywood are taking note.

Highly recommended for any Doom fan.

This was just breathtaking

Warning: Spoilers
I'm surprised this video didn't get well known at all. I'm glad to have come by it. It's a very underappreciated gem. The story is, as far as I know, close to the original Doom game. You can find it on Newgrounds. Even nonfans should love this.

It apparently took the creator a year and a half (or at least six months) to film the whole thing. It's a shame he hasn't gotten more recognition for his work. It tells the story of the Doomguy fighting monsters to get revenge for his dog. The name "Wilson" is mentioned to him as a dog, but he later picks up a collar labeled "Daisy". I guess that's the name of HIS dog. I'm glad I got to learn more about his dog.

If it took this long to get the first part out what about the second part? His game reviews and other videos don't even have entries here. They have a lot more views online. I thought this might have had stop-motion. The lack of it makes it even better. It's certainly lightyears ahead of the real "Doom" movie. ****
