New Delhi, April 21 (Ians) So, did the hyper-real prosthetics in films like Tumbbad, ‘Ghoul’, Sonchiriya, Raaz 3, ‘Darr at the Mall’ and ’72 hours’ impress you? Well, they were all made not in a fancy studio in Mumbai but in a small one on the outskirts of Chandigarh.
Gurpreet Dhuri, who has worked for some major names including Anand Gandhi, Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Banerjee, and Rahi Anil Barve started off with Kashyap’s ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ and there has been a steady stream of work, especially from independent filmmakers.
A pass-out from Chandigarh’s Government College of Art, Dhuri, a specialist in creating hyper-realistic sculptures and characters boasts of having the only studio in the region offering FX and hyperrealism in sculpture. All the team members are from the College of Art here.

Actress Bipasha Basu took to Twitter last night to reveal that she is "Excited to be a part of Creature, directed by Vikram Bhatt, India's first 3D creature film!" She then added that the film is a mix of Anaconda and Jurassic Park, "A thrilling adventure n full on entertainment!"
She accompanied this announcement with some poster art, which you'll find inside.
Bhatt is no stranger to horror in India having helmed films like Fear, Haunted 3D and Raaz 3: The Third Dimension. No other details for Creature 3D have been revealed at this point, but we'll keep you updated.

Australian film Kath & Kimderella has opened in number one at the box office over the weekend – the first time a local production has done so since Baz Luhrmann’s Australia four years ago.
The film, based on classic sitcom Kath & Kim, took $1.999m, according to the Motion Picture Distributors Association of Australia. Opening across 285 screens, fro Roadshow Films, it took an impressive $7,013 screen average.
Australia opened with $6.373m in late November 2008, according to the Mpdaa.
Last month The Sapphires opened with a slightly bigger box office haul – $2.3m – but was behind The Dark Knight Rises for the weekend.
Directed by Ted Emery and written by its stars Gina Riley and Jane Turner, it’s the second film for the characters, with Emery also directing 2005′s TV movie Da Kath & Kim Code. The tele movie averaged a national audience of 2.1m making it the highest rating show for the ABC in 2005.
