Different, but largely dull

Warning: Spoilers
SACRIFICIAL FRESHMEN is a very low budget indie horror that's a bit better photographed than most in the genre. It's about a university party that goes awry and leads to disappearing students, with the central protagonist duo deciding to investigate and discovering something very weird going on. There are hostile characters, an earnest priest, and some highbrow dialogue which rings hollow. I found that there was very little for the viewer to engage with.

Big Surprise! I Loved It!

Considering the low rating of 3.5 (at the time) I was hesitant to watch this movie. But eh, it was a free lookie-see on Amazon Prime & I was bored. I watched it in one sitting, resentful of having to take a bathroom break. The acting isn't stellar but it's pretty doggone good. The story had a some twists and turns, all of which segued well with each other. And yes, I cried a wee bit at the end...whether it was happy or sad tears will remain a secret. You'll have to watch yourself! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
